Hey Oldchucky, still here, still wringing my hands, limping along.
Yesterday I culled 4, and now I'm legal. 9 plants total. 🫤

Got my flu and flu boosters yestersday and it inflamed my sinuses. Must be something I'm allergic to in it.
So, instead of spraying my plants, like I've been doing most days I stayed in and watched a couple episodes of the 'Rings of Power' series.
Head still hurts but this too shall pass. LOL
Hi cpurola ya know i felt like crap tues. then during the wee morning hours of wed. i woke up in a sweat, fever and my eyeballs were so sore & ached. I was sneezing up a storm during trimming some buds. I think i'm slightly alergic to weed/flowering. I gotta get so friggin close to look at em when i trim can't hardly see my eyes get blurry after about a hour. I got appt. to optomatrist but shit it's not till Feb. but they put me on a short list for cancellations. Took asprin, ibprophene and alkaseltzer cold plus in hot water LOL that stuff really helps my symptoms. I don't think i'm getting any more flu vacs.

Well, unless a miracle happens, my outdoor grow is done. Too much disease this year.
Helene is giving us days of clouds, mist and 70 degree temperatures. Perfect conditions for mold, and I'm not up to spraying twice, three times a day until they're ready for harvest.
Honestly, I'm doing this for fun and it's not fun anymore. Thank goodness I don't need it.

This is my 5th Year growing outside I've had a structure every year I've live in Michigan almost 61 years been a Mason 40 of it

This is a rainy time of the year oh yeah and don't want to forget about damp

I have two parts outside one's pretty well done and the other one is going inside the enclosure it's in a pot buried in the ground right now

I agree with you cpurola under your conditions. Don't feel bad about this year you made a heck of a attempt to help correct some issues but nature said eat it. It quickly becomes a shit show in that enviornment, your doing the right thing. I'm thinking only 2 outdoor plants next season i'm getting tired of late season problems.

Ya I fo it for fun and others. I cut a couple lower branches yesterday. The rest looks ready any way. It's been in the ground since may. I've got another 2 weeks at best anyhow. My buds are milky hairs are amber. I'm picking today I figure. With last nights rain it washed off any neem oil. The tops look great . This is my 2nd time and learning as I go. I have so many mixed seeds and I just use what ever . Last yr they say it was superb. It's a suprise as to what it actually is. I think for next yr gonna buy some seeds so I know. I've not had any luck planting indoors. This yr I planted more than 1 seed but only got 1 plant. I'm ok with that this year. Next yr i hope I'll get 2 or 3 . I don't wanna plant a lot. If I loose them to disease I won't be so sad. Since i cut 2 lower branches off it looks pretty good though. I have 2 weeks at best anyway before frost I believe. The rain last night did wonders. But so gloomy today. And weather calling fir 70s now . We may get a few warmer days . Good luck .

I did 4 regular plants this year and got 1 male. 2 are down and trimmed now. Lots of bud rot on the Granddaddy Purple Ultraviolet. Lots not rotted too. Most buds aren't big either. Indoor usually gives nicer end result for sure.

Last one to go is Hawaiian Puff/ God Bud cross. She's hanging tough but lots of rain coming so it's just about time to chop.

Yep, next year....
But, there's still lots of cleanup to do and prepping for next year. Glad I had my autos at least. 🙂

I seriously thought about solarizing it all to kill the spores, but that would mean no grow next year. And it only works in the top 2".
Instead I think I'm gonna dig out some of that dirt in the 12, put it somewhere else, and add in the potting soil I used in the fabric bags this year to lighten it up a little. With the amount of rain we had plus the density of the soil it was not good. And if it rains next year as much as it did this year I'm going to figure a way to cover the ground to keep it off.
Of course, next year's weather will be different with another set of challenges. 🫤

I will also aggressively treat the soil and surrounding area with organic fungicides. Don't know what to do with the grass clippings yet.

Heya C I’m sad that your grow went south on you this year has been a tough go. I know you will be here next year with both barrels loaded. I’m hoping that I can get more of the struggling ones off and get the rest of them through this rain that’s coming. It’s now a race against the septoria. I’m actually kinda happy that they’re not huge plants but still lots to do take care C

Process please?? Looks good. I hang and have humidifier going so very interested.
Start with a spray bottle with water then I cut the branches down and spray the branch with water and strip the buds off the branch and trim

Next into the paper bag the buds go once the bottom of the bag is full get a new bag and repeat the process

Next leave the bag open for 48 hours after that seal the bag for 24 to 36 hours

Now they're ready for mason jars leave those open for 24 hours after that seal them and start burping

Usually takes 4 to 6 days and it'll be ready to smoke

That's the way I do it
