Got the AI 🤖 controller up and running and this is just magic. Few tweaks here and there and dialing it in. Also needs 24hrs to gather data for itself to use. But even in few hours had it on it has got the VPD and others beautifully dialed in with far less extreme peaks and troughs then my other grows with other controllers. And it, obvsiusly, adjusts settings/power of other devices to keep within required parameters. I LOVE IT! 🤓😄

ENVIRONMENT SETTINGS:
0.8VPD
73F
68% Humidity
Light set to 29% / 750Par at 30". Converts to approx 200-250PAR at plant

And to top it all off, the seedlings are now in the tent! Little concern over the FunkyM but I think she's just finding her feet. Gently, gently... 🤗

Now, just the Autopots setup, coco/perlite to mix and nutrient feeding left to understand and we are gonna grow some absolute bloody monsters! 🎉🦁

Ok, so an update, it's been a busy few days away with those pesky fires!

Here they are today at 10 days old. I'll be honest, I'm not particularly happy but maybe I'm just being a little impatient.

All apart from one are coming along ok give or take. The Jimmy Jacks (front right) fell over on its first night in the tent so been nursing her back in and she needs to thicken up that stem but recovering well I hope.

The odd one out is the FunkyM (front left) she popped through the soil late and then basically stopped dead and only had the cotyledons and tiny white tipped first set of leaves. My only guess was maybe the light was too strong for her so I put her on the floor up until yesterday and she has v slowly grown a little more but just seems odd to me. Anyone got any thoughts? Maybe she is just putting turbo roots down along with the others?

The environment is completely dialled in with an average of 72F/ 68%/ 0.8VPD with the light at 30" and 29% / 750PAR which translates to 200-250PAR at canopy level which should again be spot on. But if I'm being completely honest I don't think they look totally happy so what could it be? Too much light maybe is my only guess?

Any advice or thoughts most welcome. Or like i said maybe I'm being very impatient and they are about explode... 🤞

Hey man,
Positive vibes to you over all the flames and wind. Hope all your jazz is safe.
Looking like transplant out of the seedling Hutte. Time for bigger homes and a place under the spotlight.
Some definitely tasty strains. It’s always fun when they are little.

Thanks man, appreciate the good vibes. Hopefully winds don't go too crazy over next few days and they can get more of a handle on it all.

Definitely time to transplant, you're spot on as always. Day 11 today, was planning on max of 14, so will start mixing up the coco/perlite for each tomorrow and building it all.

I think they look good! Just keep doing what you’re doing and they’ll be fine and monsters in no time.
I’d say the one that isn’t looking so hot is just a runty plant/ seed and not anything to do with what you’re doing.

Phew, busy, busy today but we are done...for now.

Got the pots setup, then mixed and filled them with the coco/perlite, approx 70/30. I actually made too much, I wonder if I can store the spare, seems like a shame to waste it?

Then transplanted them all and watered to runoff. Now back in the tent and hopeully not too shocked. I was bloody cack handed with a couple so we might have a few surprises coming my way but hopefully not.

Also, I wasn't planning on feeding them till they use up what I just watered them with and I switch the actual autopots on with the reservoir and nutrients. Or if I need to, just more top watering till we get there.

What’s your plan on pH? I use the General hydroponics drop kit and go in around 6.0. I used to think you need a meter with coco but that’s not true at all!

Canna is pretty stable and the ph doesn’t fluctuate much if at all

Lmao I forgot I don’t even PH my autos! I just mix and rip and they’ve never had a problem.

I use recharge once a week though

Well, here's what I'm thinking, please do say if I'm talking shite...lol!

Agree on the Canna Coco being stable along with the perlite I have.

So I measured the pH and EC of both the purified water I've always previously bought and used and my tap water which I've never used. I'm thinking the amount of water these lot are going to drink makes it pretty silly to be buying the purified stuff so hopefully can use the tap water.

This is what I got using a Bluelab testing kit:

Tap: pH: 7.3
Tap: EC: 0.5

Purified: pH: 6.5 - 6.6
Purified: EC: 0.0

And basing the values I'm aiming for off this 20Gal (reservoir is bigger but just gonna start at 20gal to begin with), light feed (as Autos) chart from Canna, if use tap water the EC is ok at 0.5 but the pH needs lowering to 5.5 - 6.2.

Or alternatively if I use the purified water I have to change two values. The the EC need raising (how exactly, this confuses me but we'll get to that?) and the pH also needs lowering, but less so than the tap water, to 5.5 -6.2.

I'm also planning on (to KISS) maybe just feeding Canna A&B only for my first run to not confuse things even further, others can be added as I learn for later grows.

Canna light 20gal

So I think tap water is probably the better bet as only need to be lowering the pH value. I also have the General Hydroponics Up/Down kit you mentioned for this which seems like the one to use from what I've read.

So my last question and part I'm not feeling 100% confident about is EC. How do you affect the EC value? As I understand it the EC value is derived from the concentration of the nutrients you are feeding it, correct? So the more you put in, the higher the EC and vice-versa?

So in this example, if my tap water EC is 0.5 and I add 142ml/20gal of both Canna A & B, that would add 0.9EC for a combined total EC of 1.4. Am I reading that correctly? Is there more to it?

Also, I'm not going to add that to 20gal of water but more likely mix up 5 gal with it in, can I then just add that to the other 15gal of tap water in the reservoir and mix it up? That should work shouldn't it?

Any and all advice here gratefully accepted!

Phew... 🤯

Recharge are microbes.
Btw. I never pH'ed or Ec anything...same when back to Coco. Feed: Veganic/mineral

Thanks @Redneckx, that's helpful.

I think I'm just being over cautious as first ever run with coco and nutrients like this. But good to hear just slinging it on and off you go and of course all these values are 'ideal' conditions. As we all know, it's a bloody weed and tough as boots so can grow anywhere at times.

Food for thought anyway... 🙂

Obviously that EC number includes not just the A & B but also the other nutrients it gives in the table (realised that as was falling asleep!) Hmm, still might just do A & B to start with and see how we go.

Hehe, y know everybody is a little edgy about sth. new and it's a process to get into it. If y know what Coco needs...psst. it's a good load of calmag.
Me neither use other nutrients then in soil, don't see a reason to do that.

Yeah and such a delicious food 😊

Wow man!
You’ve become a chemist too. Good luck with the auto pot venture. That’s a sweet set up. Hope the numbers stay straight and you succeed with that. I ran liquid and balanced nuts for a while, got too much to track, beware the hot / bad batch that fries the ladies!
