Hey peops. I recently made a soil mix comprised of Foxfarms planting mix, light warrior, and ocean forest potting soil. Lately I've been noticing signs of deficiencies that led to me testing my runoff ph. My input of 6.75 resulted in an output ph of 5.74. Which makes perfect sense since the first signs of stress were necrotic spots and overall damage to my oldest leaves. I'm also dealing with an occasional twisted leaf in the newest growth. My concern is I just found the newest revision to the Moonshine mix and it asks for black gold organic soil and one small coco brick as additional ingredients. Given that my problems are that my soil mix is too hot and my ph is too low, what would be the best means of remedying my problem? Should I remove as much soil from the root one as possible and rework the mix by adding the two omitted ingredients? Should I use hydrated lime as soil drench? thx in advance.
