ph to advantage?

so over the years i have noticed when my ph gets too high and i get lockout the plant takes alot of P-K out of the plant. i have also noticed that when it gets too low it seems to me that it absorbs more N.

is there any truth to this or am i just crazy?

if this is what is happening would it be beneficial to deliberatley imbalance ph at the end of flush?
there fore causing the plants to not take up anything leftover from the mix and use everything within itself?

when i say end of flush i am referring to the last 4-5 days.

I know folks that rock there ph up to the 8+ range for the last week of flush, this locks everything out and causes the fans and any leaf of any size to just fall off the last day at harvest. Then they chop and hang.

from smoking there stuff do you notice a difference compared to a standard flush?
