Jk, It's a give away bro, these companies sell products used in horticulture, they want to see what you grow, or have grown. If you have never grown anything or aren't even trying the why even submit an application into the giveaways? What will they do with the gifted products?

Asking for a picture of the plants, is a way to make sure that only deserving people are eligible to win the product, and that the winner or winners will put them to good use.
