So I've had quite the first grow plants stared out amazing grow was going spectacular for my first grow still not bad and should still produce a great harvest but my plants seemed to have a deficiency some said magnesium some said phosphorus some said oh issues well I've tried it all fed it some potassium nothing still having the issues cal mag issues so my buddy said the soil was prob acidic from my nutrients so I flushed with two gallons of pH 6.5 water had about a gallon and a quarter runoff bc I had just watered two days ago the pH stabilized at 6.2 in the run off bucket I'm using promix soil floranova grow and floranova bloom nutrients throughout the grow shes week two of flower I've used armor si silica and now call mag any thoughts of what the issue could be since the oh was 6.2 of my runoff ? She's growing ok id say she's lil over 3 foot tall and her stalk is about 1.5 inches thick at the base she just stared drooping the last few days I've made sure to not over water accept the flush today I've barley had any runoff at all the entire grow and I've been checking by weight and how the plants doing as far as looks she has some burnt tips and they keep popping up on the newer growth after a bit of time it's just the tips they turn yellow then crispy brown im starting to think it's my new light I've had it three weeks and recently added the second light I've ran them anywhere from. 70% -100% temps stay in the mid 70s usually sometimes touching 80ish but not for long the rh stays in the 50s to 60s still not bad for an auto right she's looking ok besides the lime greenish color shes had this last week or so

looks to me like something is causing nutrient lock out, you could have gotten a hot batch of soil causing it. here is a link to a kewl interactive diagnosing site. hope it helps.

there are a lot of people on here way more knowledgeable than me at this sort of thing, hopefully they will see this soon and help you out.

The coloring does not look all that bad : ) what lead you to believe she was deficient in nutes?(what did the the plant look like?) At this point (and take this with a grain of salt) I wouldn’t water until the pots are dry and start there. They plant looks like it has been getting too much water and isn’t liking that.

My first thought is to leave the plant alone for a few days. It looks like it's getting too much water, so letting it dry could help. I also see signs of magnesium deficiency, so adding some Epsom Salt to the water could also help. Your humidity and temperature seem to be okay. I'm not sure about the light. It might help to reduce it for a few days to a week. Flushing is only recommended to remove excess nutrients. After flushing, nutrients need to be added to the soil.

I've had tomato plants take on that "brittle" look with exaggerated edges on leaves when moving them to supplemental light. They don't look unhappy with their nutrients to me. As you're checking other things it might not be a bad idea to check with a light meter what kind of energy they're getting just to eliminate that as a contributing culprit.

from royalqueenseeds.com via co-pilot: can rootzone salt buildup in cannabis cause water to not rise in plant and cause leaf edges to curl downward

Yes, rootzone salt buildup in cannabis can indeed cause issues with water uptake and lead to symptoms like leaf edges curling downward. When salts accumulate in the root zone, they can create an osmotic imbalance, making it difficult for the plant to absorb water effectively1. This condition is often referred to as nutrient lockout.
To address this issue, it's important to regularly flush the growing medium with pH-balanced water to remove excess salts and restore optimal conditions for nutrient uptake. Monitoring and managing the electrical conductivity (EC) and pH levels in your nutrient solution can also help prevent salt buildup and maintain healthy plant growth.
Does this help clarify things for you?

from www.gardenguids.com

if you suspect salt build up in potted plants, how much water should you flush with

To flush out salt buildup in potted plants, it's recommended to use large quantities of water. Here's a general guideline:
  1. Water Thoroughly: Pour water through the soil until it runs out of the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot. This helps to leach out the salts from the root zone.
  2. Repeat: It's often beneficial to repeat this process a couple of times to ensure that most of the salts are flushed out.
  3. Vinegar Solution (Optional): For stubborn salt buildup, you can use a vinegar-water solution (about 1/2 teaspoon of vinegar per quart of water) to help neutralize the salts.
After flushing, make sure to let the excess water drain completely and avoid overwatering in the future to prevent new salt buildup.
Does this help with your plant care?

i've never grown in soil so take what i suggest with a grain of salt pun intended.

i may not be a dirt farmer but i'm an excellent researcher and i have nothing but time.

i think it's far better to do your due diligence and research shite, rather than pull theories out ya butt based on feelings or hearsay or whatever. not saying that's what you're doing, im just stating that for newbs

to me, it doesn't look like over-watering, it looks like it's starving for water and magnesium and other nutes -peace

bottom line is: imho it looks as tho it's not gonna be long for this world if it doesn't get some help soon.

i think the best recourse when not knowing definitively, is the process of elimination

start with the easy parameters like adjust lights, temp humidity etc, then move on to harder stuff

like properly flushing, quarantining (never know, could be them sum'bichn invisible fekn bugs) etc

that's all i got -peace-

My guess is cal mag deficiency due to the purple striping on stems...this might also be causing the cupping.

Maybe overwatered right now from the flush.

Your picture is what my Veg tent looks like, I misdiagnosed the cupping as a vpd issue and now am leaning towards cal mag deficency.

I'm definitely not over watering I only water like every five to six days the pots are always super light when I water I tested the runoff pH and it's the runoff is .3 difference in what goes in so that means my soil was acidic I'ma raise my pH of my feed to neutral like a buddy told me and Im also taking the lights to only 80% it said in the lights Instructions during bloom to have the light at 12 inches and 100% during bloom but if I push it to 100 which it was for four days it's cranking 1400 ppfd I'ma cut back to 80% if I have to I'ma remove one of my lights I'm running 2x bloomplus xp1500s atm

So I completely removed the back light and I'm thinking this should fix the issue with the light stress what made me come to this concussion was the lil brown circles appearing the the top leafs today I'm about 100% sure I had three issues light stress due to me adding another light to the tent last week and her stretching and getting to close I had my lights up as high as they would go and she was only ten inches from the light so I moved one out and centered the light I gave so e cal mag the other day so that should fix the mag deficiency and I also flushed which should fix the acidic soil causing the lockout now when she dries out I'ma beeeeellasssttt her ass with a good dose of floranova bloom with a lil cal mag as an appetizer and hopefully ill have some nice chunks come last week of December

not sure if i shared this with you yet but i've been sharing with pretty much

everyone tryna diagnose their problems. it's a very good tool to keep in your

back pocket. hope it helps and hope ur ladies get well soon, oh; beware of

"information overload" i would still ask opinions here to confirm or shoot

down my suspicions -peace-

So, I’m no expert, but I would lower the light to about 30% and hold off watering until the plant is starting to wilt. The plant pot shouldn’t be light all the time, just when it needs water. Give the plant some time and see how it responds.

You could also do a foliar spray with one tbl of Epsom salts/gal. It won’t hurt the plant and they love magnesium.

What humidity are you running?

Humidity is between 50-60 it fluctuates but rarely gets below 60 it seems to be doing 100% better since I removed the second light tho I don't believe that was the cause I'm about 96% sure I had a pH issue and a magnesium deficiency she's night and day difference three days ago she looked awful nows she's perking up again the leafs are starting to turn light green and yellow but thats due to her not getting much nitrogen bc the pH issue I had imo I didn't realize the lime In the promix was buffering the oh of my feed down u til itvwas way to late but shes flowering just fine and with only 3-4 weeks to go I think shes gonna be ok as long as i can keep her in check with the next couple feedings
