Plants looking nice and chunky until like last 2 weeks and cut them down all air pack what could have happened?

Hey appreciate any and all help had a good room looking really nice super chunky. Cleaned them really good twice once the first week ok flower and the 2nd around the 3rd they were healthy and grew as expected up until around the last week they seemed to shrink up a bit but still kinda looked ok and then when we chopped they all were way smaller than they looked its like they all lost half their mass and then obviously got even smaller after a kind of too fast 2 week dry which I know probably didn't help. Just kinda confused on how drastic it was going from being pumped on a good looking room to all air im still somewhat new to this but my average room is alot better than this. Basically just want to try to find out what happened to avoid in the future. Thanks
