Soil grow outdoors

Strain - Skittles auto
Grow Type - Soil/compost
Grow Stage - Veg
Nutrients - Some compost from the start, nothing since.
Weather - Very sunny and warm all day long
Pests - Unknown

Problem: My leaves and stems are droopy, And the tips of the leaves are brown/yellow watery.
She was getting let's say 1-2 liters of water every other day and then I extended that to every 2 days, but still she's just not looking good. And that goes for other plants too in a similar fashion, am I over-watering?
Or even watering too quickly? My feeling is that they start to root down in the roots.

How long has that plant been outside and in that hole?

I'm looking at the soil around the hole. It looks tightly packed and could be clay. Soil like that doesn't drain water well. So, I'm wondering if the bottom part of the hole is too wet. If it were me, I might loosen the soil around the plant, so it aerates better. I might also mix in some compost to help disperse the water. I can't tell if there's room for top dressing, but that might help if the right soil mix were used.

Are you in Afghanistan?? Just kidding but that looks like a dry, packed, rocky area. Kind of like a dirt road. It could be that root devekooment has been poor so the plant isn't able to really drink........especially if there's hot sun.

The immediate area/hole looks like it's been worked a bit.....I agree that it's difficult to condition/improve the soil, but you can try your best around the plant, without damaging the roots. For the next round you can do quite a bit to improve the soil, adding good soil. rich compost, peat moss, manure......but also perlite and coco coir. And, as much turning and fluffing the area as you can, maybe with a machine, like a roto-tiller.

What kind of region/area is this? It looks like you have an Afghani which could handle this kind of environment

Hello. Feed the plant a high nitrogen fertilizer and soak her good. Give it 2 gallons of water in the morning and 2 gallons at night for 2 days. Soak the ground around her 2 feet out. This will get her back on her feet.

Fix your soil.
https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/growing-organic-buy-nate-growing-like-a-viking.147687/

Begin like this.
Dig in your compost and some nice black top soil. Then soak the ground your going to grow in with this once a week for 4 weeks before planting.

Just before planting mix in 1/2 cup of bone meal where your going to plant.
For Autos mix the bone meal in 30 days before the plants.

Just before planting mix in 1/2 cup of bone meal where your going to plant. For Autos mix the bone meal in 30 days before the plants.

All of your scrap from this grow. Put it in a bucket and do this with it.
Top up the bucket with a little microbe solution or rain water when needed.

Wood ash mineral solution.

Once your set up for grow.
You can make microbe solution in a 1L bottle once a week.
Dump it in a 20L bucket. Add 2 cups wood ash mineral solution, and 1 L weed JLF and what ever else you like.
Cal-Mag a light solution 1/2 tsp pr 5 gallon bucket.
Fish Emulsion, chicken poo what ever you like for extra nitrogen when needed.
Fill the bucket with rain water and mix well. Water your plants with this once a week for 30 days twice a week after that. You won't need extra Cal-Mag for flower. That's the Bone Meals job.
After stretching cut out the extra nitrogen. Everything the plant needs to flower is in the weed JLF.

Do this and you will have great grows

Thank you so much for the replies.

No, it was not recently planted, it. has been there for 3-4 weeks.
The draining might not be good as the ground is very hard underneath, could this be a problem?

I dug a big hole and filled it with a mix of compost, basic soil that I bought at the warehouse, and the dirt that was already there, but I removed all the stones.
It looks very compact at the top, like clay, it becomes like that from the scorching sun here in the very south of Spain.

I'll soak her and put nitrogen in there as soon as the sun comes up. I'll report back in 2 days.
I'll also look through the homemade microbial, thanks for all of that Imzza.

It looks like the plant was having trouble getting nutrients and is pulling from the fan leaves. If you can add some calcium that would help. I am also seeing some mite or aphid damage om the leaves. I would check under the leaves with a scope. Really want to get rid of those before flower. Lots of different sprays out there but a cheap easy one is a few drops of Dr Bronner's Peppermint soap in a spray bottle. You have to spray the whole plant, top and bottem of all the leaves and the top of the soil. Do this in the evening, that way the sun wont burn them and the soap can work over the evening.

Your welcome.
Even if you don't get to the other stuff. Make up some of the wood ash mineral water and use it on these plants asap. It will help
them so will the Microbe solution. All the best Ron.

I have been looking at these pictures about 10 times not.
Check out this link. Look at Potassium deficiency see what you think.

I'd be willing to bet that a good soaking or 2 with the wood ash solution will proveide your plants with just what they are looking for.

This is leaf miner damage, spinosad products can help deal with it.

the ground your in is not good.. those plants being in the ground for a month should be branching out and growing fast.. that tells me either your watering just around the base and there’s never any rain or the ground has to much clay or something similar.. hence the damaged leaves-root rot..
next time dig big holes..

Hey Nick, I'm asking him to water the plants with wood ash solution as it's a broad mix of minerals and micro nutrients quickly available to the plants. If they are short on something it's likely in the pot ash solution. I was thinking about the larva but figured someone else could chime in on that as I have never had them myself. Well on a leaf or 2 last year I just removed the leaves and my plants where happy. What do you think. Do you use bug killer like for tomato plants on the miners?

honestly i’ve never had a pest issue, so don’t know much about that.., yep feeding them pot ash would be good though we really need to know what that ground is like, you could try everything but if it’s clay kinda stuff than it’s pretty much hopeless.. by the looks of it he still has time to dig them up and either put them in pots or dig like a 3x3 foot hole and replant with good soil and feed when needed..
not branching out for 3-4 weeks (no root growth) outdoors in spain? plant should be growing fast..
something is wrong with the ground he’s growing in.. just my 2 cents..

This man was trying to grow real clean organic. That's why I suggested he make a few batches of Microbe solution to get the soil mix he has cooking up some nitrogen. Due to soil conditions, I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to go with a chemical based mix like Pro-Mix 12-6-6 or Miracle grow 12-9-6 this grow for Veg. Then work on better soil for next season.

I'm thinking. Hit the plants with the wood ash for micro nutrients then some good old nitrogen fertilizer and get them growing. Anything that he can find locally. The plants look pretty hungry. I used to use Pro Mix 5 -15-5 for transplanting. Pro-Mix 12-6-6 for Veg with great results for veg and then the 5 15 5 again for flower. Super easy it's 15 bucks a jug and it works.
Promix

Or for veg suggest something like the Miracle grow Ultra Bloom 12-9-6 and find a good bloom mix after. His plants are growing.

Miricale grow

I cannot find any Miracle grow product that is not high nitrogen content like the Pro-Mix 5 15 -5 for flowering, but I'm sure he could find something locally. I guess he could dig them up stick them in great big pots and use any of the above nutrients. But to tell you the truth it never crossed my mind to dig and pot them.

I guess it's up to the OP what he wants to do. I'm just thinking out loud.
