question, on any of the stalks are they hollow? i may be way off base here but it could be early sage root rot. sometimes it will just slowly kill the plant from the inside out. hard to say as any of the above suggestions can also cause root rot. did you aerate the soil, etc etc you get the point. depending on what you have on hand genetics wise you may just want to toss it?
