Went into my garden today one of my Super Skunk veggies was extremely wilted and looked almost dead. Her stem at the bottom was extremely skinny and brownish, and shriveled. It appeared fairly normal past the bottom where it had seemed to rot. We found this bug on the plant. Is it the problem? Please see pic.

This pic is of the stem.

that has happened to me a few times =it aint the bug. ive gotten mold on sections of stems before, pretty much kills the plant, does anyone know what causes this. My plants were like 2-3 months into veg when it happened to me,fortunately i was able to get like 50 clones off these before they wilted and died

Sounds like pythium; are the roots brown and slimy? If so, educate yourself on the benefits of H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide), Mycorrhiza, and enzymes. All of these with help put an end to that problem. Good luck, buddy!

Fungus is usually a ventilation problem and or humidity. Fungicide will nock that off. increase air circulation and listen to the last dudes post on mycelium.

Looks like root rot to me. I think that it could come back, but it will take a while.
