Phos lock. Acidifying your soil will help. Water ph lower and check with a soil slurry test and see what the soil ph is. And next go add more perlite to help with the loamy soil conditions

Thanks for the advice. PH of soil is likely a little high and I've PHd water down to 6.5 and will keep that going to the ens. Will do a proper slurry test soon but I work 60hrs a week so haven't had much time to be with the girls.

I've got vermiculite in my soil mix as I don't really like perlite. Are you talking about after I chop to add perlite for next year's crop?

Found another cricket today. Probably the 6th one I've spotted and killed this year. Picked a few leaves off that looked like prime hiding spots for more or worse caterpillars.

Anyone else get crickets? Its the only leaf chomper I've seen so far.
Imo that's a grasshopper

This was taken at 7pm when there was still golden light out but the camera lens option blacked it out.

Finally a sunny dry day here to clearly see the trichome development.

Hello everyone,

Quick update here, it's been raining every other day so I have not watered/fed plants since giving tea to them 7 days ago.

This Indica continues to yellow higher up the plant but buds are growing still but slowing down. They're also not super thirsty but that's likely due to colder temps. Perhaps this plant is a week closer to harvest than I thought. I gave a squeeze and buds pretty firm and left a beautiful resin and aroma on my fingers. Glad I used a net to keep the big branches from falling over completely, they're all leaning over now.

It's calling for dry weather next two weeks so I'm not too worried about rot. I read the thread on knowing when to harvest without a loupe and seems like I'm getting close. I bought a cheap loupe anyways just out of curiosity. If I see som cloudy trichomes that will re assure me these ladies will be ready in about 10 days.

Based on the photos am I out to lunch or does that seem about right?

Does anyone dry in a shed in colder temps? Mines water tight but not insulated.t will be high of 57f during day and low of 29f at night outside temps.

I plan to use a 1500w ceramic heater with thermostat to keep temps up. Hopefully it can maintain 60f the majority of the time. It's 60% RH in the shed so ill run a 1L dehumidifier as well.

I can get this stuff for ~$100 off classifieds. Is this enough to prevent mold?

I'll also poly the walls around where I'm hanging off tie wire strung to the walls. It's hard to see from the pics.

Not sure if anyones still following this but I decided to chop half the Violator strain. Left the bottom to ripen till next weekend.

Turned out nice, here is my first ever yield. Now drying in the shed which is maintaining temp okay. Dehumidifier on order as it does go up when space heater kicks off. Fan blowing straight up a few feet away from plants.

Smoked the finger hash and it's smooth, potent, and has me absolutely cooked since noon.

Very nice! Looks like a really decent haul, congrats.

Thanks dirtbag! I will buck and manicure in 7-10 days hopefully it'll look close enough to the $35 stuff at the store.

It's amazing how the legal stuff here in Canada is just barely decent and a first time grower can produce a similar end product lol. When I was in Washington the legal stuff was way better but also stupidly expensive.
