There are both varieties Xmas won’t bloom till winter

Finally had a minute to look into this.

We are both wrong it seems. It’s a Thanksgiving cactus. And you just need the right temp & dark to flower.

Ours keeps blooming because of the window and temperature it’s at there. Just the right environment in fall and spring. It seems she just needs to spin it for more flowers.

So I learned a few things I can share with her too.

Had to do some high stepping and a quick google search as I damn near stepped on this red rat snake ..
I thought for sure red meant dead!!

Finally the 2023 grow can begin. This year I have a brand new phlizon FD6500 in my 5x5. I have a new 8 inch vent system. I also picked up a sun system light and hood from a buddy for very cheap. Going to order a large tent for that bad boy. This year will be future#1, gelato dreams, Carolina blue #2, GDP, LA kush, white LSD, day breaker, magnum, ak47, carmelicious, do si do and pop tarts. I will have a select few indoors and the rest out doors. I'm going to mix my own super sail and compost and I am going to do a dry amendments grow. I'm excited. New equipment and new pheno's!

That’s a whole lotta snake. But good to have around the barn.

I grew the future out doors last season. She yielded around 2 pounds dry. She had a very nice citrus/mango aroma. She smoked smooth, a little bit of a creeper and I know I was no where near 37% like they claim. She was more around 22%. I'm re doing the future in my tent. I want to see if I can get the percentage close to the claimed percentage. I did not get good close ups of my future last season but will take better closeup this year.

For sure! I wasn’t even aware there were red rat snakes I like to almost step on the green ones a lot but I’ve never seen a red version…

I walked right by this black rat snake hanging out of a tree in my yard. Didn’t see it til I turned around. Fortunately they don’t flip me out like some folks.

I walked into a restaurant in Borneo with my client's entourage, and this giant photo filled a wall of the place. Weed is very illegal in Indonesia -- as in serious prison time for minor things -- so after holding back a loud laugh, I looked around to see if anyone else thought it was funny. No. I was the only one.

I hear weed is very available in Bali. Seems to differ from island to island.

Sometimes you just have to take what you can get and then turn a blind eye when hiring kitchen help. Even in Borneo.
