If that happens you probably won’t know. Not a nice thing to see family go through. But there can be some fun/funny times.
You’re right. Before Dad got really bad off, he’d be telling me a story and would occasionally choose a wrong word which changed the story in a major (funny) way! We’d both end up laughing til tears ran!!

I've seen it firsthand. In that case, the person definitely knew she was going. It wasn't classic Alzheimers. But still, she had many good years, even though she was on the decline. At what point would one decide, "OK, that's enough."

You're thinking about your life now. If my brain starts deteriorating faster than the rest of me, I'll be hanging it up.
A lot of people say that, but not many do it. I’ve been delivering medical equipment to sick and dying people for 25 years. Including hospice. Thousands of people. And only three have offed themselves!

It's nice to live thinking about quality and not quantity.
It gets a second thought as one gets older.
Often like our beloved plant genes has a lot to do with it.
Some of us may be long lived, but not want to live that long.
Not having a death wish, but my grandfather lived to 101 years old..
I don't want to know what it will look like in 2066! 😲

How you think about your life also plays a role. Leave more then you take, and do good. Simple way to happiness.
I once told a loved one who worried for me and my career in heights that " if I die tomorrow I have had a good life."
She replied " I don't think so!"
I said " you're glad your not me then."

I’ve lived it 3 times in my life, all before 30. One was hard and angry. Another was sad because she wasn’t “their” most of the time. But who she became was a fun and constantly curious person. Last one was just sad.

I still can’t think of it being enough but IDK. Guess we’ll see when it’s my turn.
