Ppm?

Outdoor guy here.... trying to wrap my head around this hydroponic stuff. How are PPM's measured and are the different nutrients measured individually? For example, I gather from reading that there's a schedule based on what week you're in so does that mean that you just pour the liguid in based on the schedule for that week and then just measure to make sure? I know this might seem elementary to you hydro wizards but when you're used to digging a hole and throwing some composted cow shit and seeds in there..........

From my experience with Fox Farm the feeding charts are too hot. It's best to start out giving them 1/4 strength nutrients and work your way up from there. In veg i start at 250ppm and usually hit 800ppm when its time to flip them. I'm far from bein one of the guru's here but i hope i helped! If you don't have one i highly recommend getting a PPM meter.
