Hey everyone
I am new to growing and have my first seedling planted but I think it may be under some stress because the cotyledons turned yellow, dried up and fell off. I also noticed the next set of leaves were yellowing on the tips and have monitored it over the last few days and you can see by the photos it’s getting worse.

- Seedling is approximately 3 weeks old
- Temperature was a little warm in the room at around 86F but I have reduced temperature to around 78F the last 3-4 days since yellowing of leaves started.
- Runoff ph is 7
- Humidity is 40%
- Just transplanted from Jiffy Pod to larger pot once yellowing started (though it could be lack of nutrients)
- Haven’t fertilized except a little organic fertilizer that was mixed into potting soil
- Using a 1000W LED light. I had the light at 100% power until about 6 days ago but have since turned it down to about 25% power. (I wasn’t sure if the LED could burn the seedling)

I’ll attach pictures. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I would say the light was too close and caused the burn. I would still move the light to about 20" above the plant. The Mars TS1000 is not a 1000 watt LED. Also the Mars TS 1000 has caused my clones to get light burn from even higher distances. But I did have the light at 100 percent. Good luck with your grow.

uptake too high, looks like locking out or burning. anyway, back the light off and give a little drink, it'll be fine in no time

Imho plants that start out that bad are never going to be great. You can plant seeds today and if grown proper will pass those up in 2-3 weeks even if they did recover. Better to toss them now and start over.

Just as seedlings can go some time without nutrients, they can also grow with considerably less light. %100 at that distance was pretty close. A single CFL with a reflector at that distance would be more than enough.

The only problem with CFL's is they tend to force the seedling to stretch a lot. The seedling looks like is has recovered and is growing new leaves.

Growth has definitely accelerated since transplanting into the pot a few days ago. I had the light on 100% and about 24” away from the pot until I noticed the yellowing. Afterward I lowered to 25% and lowered the light some.

I’ve raised the light back up to around 20” and keeping a lower-mid level on LED until it’s recovered.

Be careful not to over water. Ladies like their legs to be dry
