whats up farmers,im growing under 1000 watt HPSs and have never trimmed or pruned after ive began flowering, ive actually heard trimming after turning over to 12/12 will greatly reduce yield (Dont know if thats true). i usually top and lollipop my plants in the last week of veg and then switch them over. But recently ive heard of people removing leaves a little after 3 weeks into flowering, what do yall think about this and what do yall do?

Time to go marinate

i dont think i could ever lollipop IN veg....
then i dont know which branches are going to shoot all crazy with the light and ones that wont - it almost seems like you'd be robbing yourself of yield by doing it that way??? cause what if one of those branches you chop was to become a monster.... thats why you wait til around week 2 flower to lollipop, so then you'll know whats junk.

Im with z on this

always been between day 12 and 17 flower for me depending on the strain

I sometimes take a good amount of cuts day 3 though as well, but only from the bottoms

a good friend of mine swears that as long as you do it by day 21 your ok and he is into 8-9 week strains mostly

i have not personally experienced a reduce in yield by removing leafs. i remove throughout veg once they have adequate growth on the branch coming from the leaf as well as any topping or super cropping in wish. they get a good thinning as they go into flower, then week or 2 later take off the undergrowth. around week 3 thin once again then let them go removing fan leafs that are covering up larger bud sites. around 2-3 days before chop i remove all fan leafs and mini fans, all but sugar i suppose, then chop.
