I usually do 4-7 days hanging then 1-3 in rolled up paper bags about a third full and flip them a couple times a day. I go by feel though, cause different size buds dry at different rates. I also wet trim first. When the small bud stems snap easily and the buds feel crunchy outside but soft like a marshmallow inside, they're usually ready to start curing. The paper bag step is to even out the moisture across different size buds before cure, kind of jumpstarts the cure. Not a necessity, but I think it's a good thing, old timers swear by it.
Grove bags make curing easier, they breathe and eliminate the need to burp jars daily, though I still turn my buds to check on them and make sure they're not getting squished or doing anything funky... curing is a really important step and has a lot to do with the final quality... so I'd read up on it... and always dry in darkness, drying in light can make the chlorophyll taste strong and bud harsh, it will break down better in the dark. I aim for around 55% humidity and between 62 and 65 degrees in my dry space with good air circulation, not directly blasting fans... you don't want to speed up this process with higher temps because you can ruin some of the more delicate
terpenes and that will effect taste and smell.
Grove bags have a website, I just started using them last year, game changer if you have a big harvest, but jars would be perfectly manageable for you. Feel free to shoot me any questions, drying and curing can seem overwhelming until you do it a few times.
