She is definitely an eater. I have a Purple Punch, and Green Crack from Seed Supreme going. PP like to eat lol. Week 4, Day 4. She loves K btw. So load her up on it week 3. She is already frosting.
Looks like you'll be getting a nice yield out of those!

I really hope Soo! Veg'd her for 6 weeks. With a Kind LED X420. Introducing UV/IR at 25% end of this week. So hopefully we can add some more terps 😂.

Keep going though, yours look strong 💪. 🔥

Good afternoon fellow farmers!

After a very successful first grow of Purple Punch that I harvested back in June, I've decided to give this strain a second round. Let's break it down:

Strain: Purple Punch Feminized from Seed Supreme
Grow Space: 2'x4' Indoor Grow Tent (AC Infinity Cloudlab 642)
Grow Light: AC Infinity IONFRAME EVO3 - 18" above, 18on/6off cycle
Ventilation: AC Infinity 4" Air Filtration PRO Kit w/ carbon filter
Intake: RAXIAL S4 4" Booster Duct Fan
Oscillating Fan: AC Infinity CLOUDRAY S6
Humidifier: AC Infinity CLOUDFORGE T7
Soil: Fox Farms Ocean Forest
Nutrients: Fox Farms Grow Big, Fox Farms Big Bloom, Fox Farms Tiger Bloom
Current Average Temps: 85°F
Current Average Humidity: 70%

For this grow I'm just growing one plant. So far the seed selected is showing some very strong genetics. Using the good old "moist paper towel in a ziplock bag" germination method, this thing popped open in less than 24 hours. Once I planted her in soil, she broke the surface within another 24 hours.

Once she developed her third set of true leaves, I fed her approximately 1/8th tsp of Big Bloom to about a cup of water as per Fox Farms feeding schedule. However, I definitely over fed slightly and am now seeing some yellowing on the bottom set of leaves, so I'm just giving plain water for the next one or two waterings.

Overall, she has some great development going on and looks like she'll be one bushy girl! The nodes are growing nice and close with an abundance of side shoots already sprouting. Looking forward to watching her grow! I'll likely be transferring her to a 3 gallon pot in the next week or so, and plan on finishing in a 7 gallon pot like my last grow.

Kick back, relax, and enjoy her journey with me!
Your setup and attention to detail are on point—sounds like you’re in for another great grow! The fast germination and strong genetic expression are promising signs, and it’s great that you caught the overfeeding early. Your plan to adjust with plain water for the next few feedings should help. The close node spacing and side shoots are a great indication that she’s going to be a bushy and productive plant. Can’t wait to see her progress, especially when you move her to the bigger pot. Keep us updated on her journey!

I'm open to any feedback! I'm trying to absorb as much knowledge as I can so one day I myself can be a "master grower" helping all the newbies in situations similar to my own 🤓
Hello, the plant looked a little "scrunchy" before you transplanted. Not much stem growth and the leaves aren't getting big either. The yellowing right off the bat
Ended up feeding her a small dose of Grow Big last night to see how she would react. It didn't seem to restore any color to the top leaves, but they did seem to perk up a bit, and I also noticed under the main foliage, the side shoots are abundant and still a nice shade of green. I'm wondering if the explosive side growth sucked a lot of the nitrogen from the more exposed older growth and that's why I'm getting the yellowing. I'll be keeping an eye on her over the next few days and likely feeding her a full recommended dose of Big Bloom and Grow Big on her next watering. 🤞
Hello there. FYI Ocean Forest has enough nutes in it to support an adult plant in its final big pot for 3 weeks and is generally too hot for seedlings. I think your issue is too much of everything, probably even light too. It's not nutrient deficiency. Also, Ocean Forest is an organic soil, so it's microbes that are breaking down the nutrients in the soil, so it takes a little time to get going. Those Fox Farms liquids are straight chemical nutrients, and don't need soil biology at all.
You're trying to do two different grow methods at the same time, which is not a good idea, and with too much nutrients in both instances.

You could up-pot the plant a few times, cup to one gallon ... then to 7 gallon or whatever, using Ocean Forest every time and not feed it anything but water until about three weeks into the final pot.

What I would if this were my plant is cut some Ocean Forest, assuming you have some with some soil that has no nutrients in it, in half and then transplant into a slightly bigger container, back the light off a little so she doesn't have to work so hard, and just water regularly until it comes back around. Ocean Forest has everything it needs.

If you can, transplant into Happy Frog ASAP. Which is milder than OF and good for seedlings, just water when dry and it should come around.

Hope this helps!

The main cola just reached the second trellis, not sure many of the other branches will make it that far though but at least I (shouldn't) have to worry about my main cola snapping again like it did on one of my plants last grow. Defoliated slightly more to increase light penetration to the bottom of the plant. Bud sites are developing nicely!

The other day when doing my daily check in on my lady, I found some nanners. Ended up removing as many of them as I can find. I decided with how nice this plant has been growing, I'm going to let her finish out either way. Here's a few updated pics!

Picked a few more nanners off her yesterday and gave her a good spray down with plain water to try and saturate any pollen. Just started the 5th week of flower yesterday. I'm hoping I'm staying vigilant enough to finish with a smokable product, we'll have to wait and see! If it's a similar flowering time to my last Purple Punch grow, I still have about 5 weeks left to go. Gonna be a lot of work ensuring this lady doesn't become a seed factory seeing nanners this early on, but I'm determined 😂

Officially back from vacation! Here's an update on the lady that just finished up week 6 of flower, and some beautiful pictures from some of the National Parks we visited while out in California. Enjoy!

The side branches look almost as big as your main cola, very impressive plant man!

Thanks! The buds still look like they're going to puff up a little more before harvest too. I'll see if I can get some good close-ups of some of the buds over the next few days, they're looking nice and frosty too. Accidentally brushed my finger on a sugar leaf earlier when I was picking off an old fan leaf and when I pressed my fingers together ever so slightly and tried to pull them apart it felt like I just dunked my hand in a caramel factory. 😂

It's officially harvest day! Pretty happy with the yield. Here's the end result after trimming!

Pretty buds. What was your final yield? I grew some PP outdoors this year, and the quantity and quality blew me away. I'm in Bay Area CA, so we never got any cold temps before harvest, thus not much purple. I missed a couple buds though and found them a few weeks later, after some cold weather. Got a little over an oz that was so purple it was almost black. Definitely growing PP again next season. Peace and congratulations.

Thanks! Final yield trimmed and dried was 6oz. Working on the cure now, already smoked some though and this stuff is great. I'm in the North East, but being indoors I get a little more control over the environment...that said I still wasn't able to get it cold enough in the tent to get much purple, only a little bit on the underside of some of the sugar leaves. I'm growing Granddaddy Purple and Northern Lights #10 next....first time for both of those strains. Hoping to get some really nice purples out of the GDP
