Hi guys,
I am living in Thailand and two days ago it was legalized to grow Cannabis at home! :)
Now I want to grow some plants year-around in my garden and I encountered two questions that I cannot answer by myself.
We have 11.5 to 13 hours of daylight all year around, from 11.5 hours in December up to 13 hours in June. So by judging from indoor growing knowledge, that signales "FLOWER!" to the plant all the time.
1. When using seeds, can I use any strain and they will grow not by the daylight hours but will automatically have a veg phase in the first weeks and then will transform automatically into the flowering phase after that? I assume that due to being grown from seeds, that the plants knows that they are still to young to flower and would behave more like an autoflower-strain, growing veg for some weeks and then start to grow buds.
I used some regular seeds to try that out some years ago and it was no problem, plant growed automatically first veg and then flower phase. But is there any difference when using feminized seeds?
2. When using cuttings, would the newly cultivated cuttings go into flowering phase immediately, due to the short daylight time? I assume that due to not being grown from seeds, they will not know that they are still "young", because the mother plant is in veg for a long time already, so the cuttings would go immediately into flowering phase when being put outdoor?
If my assumptions are right, does it mean that I cannot use cuttings without giving them artificial light to simulate the 18/6 rhythm of veg phase?
Thanks already for your help!
