2 Questions here. Hi guys I'm making the switch to RDWC alien 16pot. Now this system does not come with an air pump, what size air pump do I require for the system?
Another question would be that this system comes with a 950L/hr recirculating water pump whereas another system I looked into the same size comes with a 4000L/hr water pump? Now I contacted alien themselves and asked why their pump is only 950L/hr and this was their reply...(We could upgrade the pump however we don't usually as there is no real benefit to this. It is not a case of the faster the recirculation the better, just a gentle recirculation is needed to keep everything mixed and moving. Having a faster recirculating pump can cause problems such as sucking the roots down the pipe and blocking the filter etc)
They also mentioned that I can upgrade the pump free of charge, what are your thoughts on this? Kind regards
