I'm new at this, and made some mistakes with a couple of plants. Mainly, I didn't take a light schedule seriously. So now I have plants that seem small and underdeveloped for their age (they were seedlings mid-late August). One is abut 20" another about 12". They are feminized photoperiod 80% Indica blend. They have pre-flowers, but have not really started budding that I can tell. Question is, should I go ahead and reduce the light to get them to flower, keep the current light schedule (it's around 13/11), or increase the light even more in an effort to get the plant to keep growing?

Could you post some pics? Of your gear with the plants under it? This will help us figure out what is going on.

Here they are. The lighting is hard to see, but it's 1000W equivalent full spectrum. Should be plenty.

Your plants are trying to reveg. You need to get them on a normal schedule. 18/6 and then 12/12 for flower. You can’t be inconsistent there. That’s a pickle your plant is in. You really need to get it to vegetate on a solid 18/6 until it’s growing right. And then switch to 12/12. You cant deviate from this.

Thanks! I was leaning in that direction, but wasn't sure if it was too late.
It’s never too late, a lot of growers reveg a plant post harvest, and still get them to bounce back. You should be good as long as you don’t mess with that lighting schedule. Get you a timer to plug the light into.

I have a timer and they have been on a solid schedule for about 2-3 weeks now. They seem to be growing taller reasonably well, but not leafing out as I would expect. We'll see what happens at 18/6. Thanks again.

Yeah longer veg hours will help. No problem buddy 👊🏻 holler anytime.

One of my buddies kept revegging for a few years until the plant finally shit out. They take a lot of crap and survive

Update. It's been about a month since I started a 20-4 schedule for these plants. See them now. They became somewhat bushier and at least 25% taller. Many multiple leaf groupings are appearing in the new growth areas. My question is, what should signal me to change the light cycle to flower? Should I let it veg until it looks more typical of a normal vegging plant? Will that ever happen? Since I screwed them up in the first place, there is no 'normal' pattern for me to follow. Thanks in advance.

One thing that really grinds my gears... sorry to say but there is no way that light is 1000w... or equivalent
