Hi, so I extract using 200 proof ethanol(-40f), then I added 50ml of distilled water for every 1l ethanol (5%) for waxes to precipitate during the winterization.
Now how to remove water from ethanol to ease the purge and not loose terpenes during the final purge ? ( water has a higher boiling point than ethanol and it’s a bitch to remove at the end )
Can I use zeolite 3a at this step ?
Ps: I use a vaccum chamber with a cold trap to evaporate the ethanol, and a vacuum oven to purge.
Would appreciate your advise.
Thanks

But why?

I'm very fluent in etoh washes. Never in my life would I ever add h20 to my precious etoh.

As soon as you crack open a sealed jug of 200 proof, it naturally absorbs moisture from the air, bringing it down to 190.

Because the waxes does not separate during the winterization if I don’t add water...
Buy how to you remove the water later ?
