I have a question about topping off your reservoir. I currently grow in Coco Coir, DTW. I have a 25 gallon res that I will top off with nutrient water every 4 or 5 days.
I usually add about 10-15 gallons when the res gets down to its last couple of gallons. At this time I’m mixing nutrients. I start with adding RO water, then mixing in the nutrients in the correct order.
With additives like Silica, I know you are supposed to add them first before all other nutes. But because there are still some nutrients left in the reservoir when I top off, will this cause any issues? Or is it ok because they are so diluted after I’ve added the RO water?
I’m running Jacks Nutrients and just started adding Power Si Bloom.
