danthern military grade. first ive heard of one. dehuy adjusts? sounds fuken cool
Yeah it does. Still, I wonder if it's 'military grade' efficient, though? o_O
This is no doubt a great unit for a temporary installation, but if you're buying new from scratch, running efficiency becomes a big factor. @
Rhilo Tell us if you got this AC unit new or used? SEER rating, if there is one?
On the subject of light movers to spread light along the sides of plants; my skepticism has nothing to do with whether it will work. I'm just not sure how far you can move a bulb linearly before it becomes an occasional light in the gloom, as opposed to constantly moving brilliance when viewed from the perspective of your plant. The whole theoretical standpoint of these massively light intensive rooms is to blast the plants with as much light as they can take- and if a bulb is moving more than a foot or two, that means there's room for two!
OTOH, don't mistake me for someone who thinks moving lights is a dim idea- personally, I think there is much untapped potential in the integrated and use specific movement of agricultural lighting- and I'm betting my money on my opinion.
If you have your light movers already laying around, it's not a bad way to put them to use. I would suggest moving the lights a foot or two max, back and forth across the face of an individual plant to maximize the benefits of spread, hotspot prevention (run it closer!) and leaf shading reduction, without letting the bulb ever get too far away to excite photo productivity.
