.
Hey all. Hoping you guys can take a look at where I am at now that I am just hitting 2nd week of flower and make any suggestions to get dialed in.

Base info:
  • 2 plants growing in FoxFarms Happy frog
  • Spider Farmer SE5000 LED (upgraded)
  • RO water always PH'd to 6.3 - 6.5 after nutes
  • Planted in 7 gallon fabric pots
  • Organic liquid nutrients Mission Fert line
  • Light doses of CalMag Plus used during veg, but not in flower
  • MammothP lightly dosed throughout grow (1ml per 2 gal)
  • MykosWP used in every watering
  • Versity Bacillus Blend used in every watering
  • Generic Kelp/fish fert used in every watering
  • SNS209 systemic organic pest prevention fed first 5 feedings then no more.
  • Mission Bloom nutes I am using are nothing heavy. About 755 PPM going in.
  • Room temps maintained at 75-80F and RH maintained at 45 - 55%
  • Plants are healthy. No burns and only 5 or 6 gnats caught on the sticky traps in 9 weeks.
So I downloaded the Photone app today. Apparently I got the most recent Beta version of it to where you don't use a light diffuser. I put one on not knowing that, and the app detected it and told me to remove it.

So here's the numbers I came up with:
  • Spider Farmer hanging at 30" above the plants at 75% power
  • Eyeballing it, only a small number of leaves praying up towards the light. The rest are laying nice and flat.
Through Photone:
  • PPFD at the canopy is 220
  • DLI at 12 hours is 9.8
  • LUX is 13000
  • Light is 3300K
  • Leaf temps with my IR gun - 78F

If you have recommendations against the above, I would love to hear it.
Also, now that I am in flower, would you recommend I feed using nutes at every watering, or should i maybe do more like a feed, feed, water, feed, feed, water cadence?

Appreciate the look-see and any suggestions.
Here's the plants after medium defoliation yesterday.

I think you are fine since this is before stretch, but all numbers should be higher in flower .
I would start with lowering the light to the plant after stretch .
Others will chime in with better info then this hopefully .

Ok ... no replies with numbers from you guys "Yesterday" so I had to research. :)

Watching the video of Dr Bruce Bugbee, I cranked up the power to 95% on my SE5000 and dropped it down to within 20" of the plants and then re-measured using the Photone App "Today" to see what kind of figures I would get.

------------Yesterday................ Today............... Ideal
PPFD--------- 220....................... 530 .............1000 - 1500
DLI (12 hr)---- 9.8 ....................... 24 .............. 30 - 45
Leaf temp-----78 ....................... 82 ............... 72 - 86

I am pretty surprised that I can't really get anywhere near the ideal PPFD range with this light. Yeah, I had 5% power left to push to 100% and Spider Farmer indicates hanging as close as 8" during flower, but I think that would be a catastrophic failure to the plants.

After I took those readings, since I am only at the start of week #2 of flower, I put the power at 90% and backed the distance off to 24" to let them stretch into it a bit - good call @steamroller

So anyway, I will keep an eye on the leaves and see if they want these lights closer or further by how they react to what it is now.
