-Hi guys,

First post here. I’ve been growing in soil with salts for a few years and recently switched to coco on my last run. Last run went to harvest fine using the guide over at cannabis for coco.

This run “my second in coco” doesn’t seem to be going as smooth lol.

I have a 4x4 tent and a 5x5 tent set up in the same room with all the exact same equipment and climate.

Nutrients - general hydroponics following the Dr. MJ Coco schedule. (Will post below) 650 PPM pH 5.8 to 6.2.

Automatic spray type watering system set for ten seconds on every 4 hours.

Water temp 67-70 degrees.

Day 28 of Veg (plants have been topped for four mains and trained)

Temps - 75 degrees lights out. 82 lights on.

Humidity - 62 lights out. 72 lights on

VPD - 95 - 108

Medium- coco Mother Earth 70/30 perlite.

The 4x4 tent below seems to be doing ok. In this tent the coco was reused from my last grow, rinsed and double buffered with cal/mag. Back left is strawberry cough the rest are blueberry pancakes.

The second tent below is a 5x5 set up the exact same as the 4x4 and using the exact same nutrients and pH. (Same batch mix)
This tent, the coco came strait out of a bag of Mother Earth 70/30 I had already opened. I did no buffering as it’s pre buffered (I did not buffer the new product on my previous grow and it was fine).

As you can see above these strawberry cough in the 4x4 don’t look very healthy at all. I did a foiler spray with magnesium sulfate about 3 or 4 day ago as it looked like a magnesium deficiency to me. They did green up a little but don’t look near as healthy as the cough in the 4x4. I know the magnesium sulfate is only masking the real problem if it is indeed a cal/mag deficiency. I’m thinking I may have screwed up by not buffering the new bagged coco in the 4x4. Like I said, it had been opened and maybe dried out some effecting it? I’m not exactly sure and would like your thoughts or opinions. It’s possible it’s something else all together I may be overlooking. I’ve also never grown any of these cultivars. If it is a problem with the coco not being buffered should I just quit while I’m ahead and tear the plants out of the 4x4? There’s not really anything I can do at this point is there?

Thanks
-Rex
