Ok, here we go with the choices.
The seeds started:
Cheezecake. (UkCheese Fx Westernwinds M) A number by SoftDrugBaron. Germ rate 15/15
OGKush bx1 SFV Fx Durban Poison M. Same creator, these haven't been tested before. 12/10
Herijuana IBL. Sannie. 10/10 (although theres another ten seeds grown in coco elsewhere from the same batch with different readings)
Pakistan Chitral Kush F x Nepal M. Tropical Seeds, testing these ones too, I guess they gave them to me as for seeing how much mistreat they can't take, as roughly that's my testing abilities. Too bad for them: 15/15
All of them before 36 hours.
Since i've got to choose the best of each for summer, i'd like to know better what to look for, that special trait in each, and because there are well known genes, hope someone can give me some advice.
Also i've got other things coming as soon as they root, namely ASH (afghan/haze x afghan/skunk) from Shantibaba, and Love Potion#1 from Reeferman, the first still being chosen from seed, the second a 4 year old cut.
To all seed makers, congratulations in the first step, that's truly satisfactory germ rate. In the photo you can appreciate two of the ogkush seedlings that aren't making it, but this is due to falling because sometimes i'm clumsy as fuck, and although most resumed ok, these two were badly affected and i'll just throw 'em away, but they germed alright too.
They're growing under a 200W envirolite bulb in substrate mixed with 30% humus and extra 10% perlite. They'll go next to 1 litre pots until sexed with the same food. Once the males are housed somewhere else, the rest will go to 7 or 10 litres top and flowering in natural sun. Only extras has been sannie's bacto.
To the flowering pots i'll add some bat guano and dolomite.
Because of the natural photoperiod ahead, it's unlikely they'll be ready before vegetating again, so at the first sign i'll cut the light hours by covering them. Cuttings will be kept under the bulb.
Advice most welcome.
1. Cheezecake (bottom) and OgkushXdp (with the two casualties)
2. OgKush, so far the biggest of them all after three days
3. Herijuanas
4. PCK/N, Tropical Purple, the last to go soaking, less than 24 hours old.
5. They live there.

The cheezecake will take all the nutes you can throw at it, within reason .. i,ve not manage to over feed her yet.:-0.

cheezecake like a lower PH .. anywhere between 5.6ph-6.6ph.. wil do .. the soil will buffer from those ranges.

she also luv a foliage feed 1 time a week.

good luck with this years grow

like your setup .. nice and clean and tidy... and good clear labeling

well done 7 rayos

Hallo señores. Yeah, selecting is a difficult thing, at least it was choosing what to select from, as there are just so many worthy things that i've felt like choosing dogs out of the kennels, sorrier for the ones left behind. But i think this choice will cover a wide range of highs and flavours.
SDB, mate, don't you worry about feeding these babies, when younger i worked for a while as a cook, they'll blast on trouffles if needed. What do you use to spray the leaves with? I normally keep them on a humus diet, perhaps after three weeks adding summat if using the small 1 litre pots. Monday i'm going to town and have to grab the chance to buy all i need.
As for the ph, i think dolomite will take care of that, but then i normally use lemon in the water instead of bottled acids, and i find it perfectly alright. Check the roots in this plant from last season: humus and lemon to take the ph down and one single shot of Attazym few days before the transplant (see 1st photo)
I've transplanted them today. The mix has its perlite, but i put a top of plain substrate on top because the perlite goes green in direct light and i don't know if that's good.
Thanks for passing by, Hubcap, Darkside and Green. The labelling comes after last years fiasco when a crazed hippie put aside all the labels, leaving over forty plants of ten different varietes which i'm still trying to find out what they are. "Good ones them all", as he put it. Now i write all the info in the pot at the moment of the transplant, that way it doesn't go missing, but i'll also will tag the preferred ones by the stem when they show themselves a bit clearer. Thanks for the compliment on the clean box, but if you could see the surroundings the picture would drastically change, hehe, as it's the only decent room in the house, fuckin' stable more like:animal0057: suits me!

Hi FF, thanks for coming. We'll see that box after a few weeks, maybe it'll look like a foxhole by then!
Righto Baron, might go for some of that seaweed, as i've seen that formulex works better for hidro. They seem happy there, although the temp reads 20ºC tops, but ok at 14ºC with the lights off. Couple more degrees will soon come courtesy of the nice weather.
Hello Karma, pleasure to see you by. Been reading about this herijuana for too long before getting my hands on this sannies ibl. Out of twenty seeds, my ten germed very well all of them, but my friends were growing in a minibox with coco, five seeds each, and neither had a good start. Some didn't pop, some didn't get on with it and the others took ages to start shooting regularly and one of them even hermed. The final read were three females, doing fine now.
Mine, however, i've used the pitpots, the bacto and sunlight combined with the bulb and am very happy with them so far.
Danks to you all.

there are 2 main TRAITS iN the cheezecake.... 1st looks like ukcheese..with an extra twist in smell and tast. and the 2nd looks like cali mist.. a dark danky greasey plant... with a real dank smell. there 1st finneshes bang on 8 week .. the other could do with 10 weeks .. hope this help 7 rayos... laterz SDB..:-)

p.s to spot this early .. you can rub the stem .. and sniff it .. there will be 2 different smells... good hunting ...!:afroweed:

Salud, herr Baron, thanks for noting that. Got a bit of a flu and can't check yet for subtle smells, but will have the pituitary ready in no time, he!
Got that seaweed for helping her through the growth, although so far i'll still wait for them to ask for food. Because half of it will grow in another house and i won't control them as often as these, i've made a brutal first selection, keeping the ones i like most and trusting my friend with the rest, but i'll still control them too.
With these great sunny days i won't waste electricity for a few hours, so from 9 until 4 they're in the terrace. I think they like it, despite having to move them.
I have another question if anyone knows or have tried before. Got a bottle of Advanced Natural Power Enzymes+, which is 100% bio, but it's intended for hydro. Is there anything to look at when added to soil or should i use it as normal enzymes with the proportions (1ml/1litre) in the label?
In the photos, general view of the chosen Cheezecake and the OGKushxDP, (there are some PCK/N there too sowed ten days later) then a shot of one sample of each

Thanks DSX, they're under constant surveillance, i've even caught a spider flying on a silkthread, although i'm expecting bugs galore anytime.
And i think i've already got at least a sample of each pheno for the cheezecake identified. I've put the photos in order, but in the preview it shows 1-4 and 2-3

Salut folks. Think i'll update a bit to see how some things are doing 'round here. Those cheezecakes are the easiest thing i've tried, they just take anything. I'm starting now with the first transplants, although i'm waiting to sex them all before, still checking for pre-flowers, but if they don't show up in a few days i might have to force them with the photoperiod and transplant them straight after, keeping clones at the same time. I wanted to do that one week before the transplant, but still can't be sure of the sex and i cannot keep males at home, to tight for space. Still chose a random one and put in a 10 ltrs (+- 2gallons) grow bag and left it outside to natural light.
Be that the enzymes or the lemon i use to take ph down, the roots looked nice and healthy, and so did the plants.

Salut Baron.
Has been a hectic week for me, house packed with people, easter holidays. Still some things done, not keeping the accounts too clear lately but i've got about 10-12 females which i've transplanted and are crammed up there. Of those there are already three favourites, two of them cheezecakes. But the others are very similar, anyway. Got one with four leaves in every set an' all, another that smells really intense, but all in all, very strong plants and not a hint of plagues so far, fingers crossed.
I'm covering them for 12 hours every night now to force flowering. The photos aren't very good as i don't want to move them much and it's difficult to single them out. I've topped most, and bend some that didn't have enough with the topping, as they shoot like bloody rockets.
Didn't feed them since the transplant few days ago, but there's some bat guano there as well as more wormcasts and a rich substrate, i'll wait for them to ask.
Also got all cuttings nearly rooted, so this week coming will be dedicated to strategy, as i will have to find a home for a few (er... dozens). Here we go with the pics.
