Transplant asap. You're root bound and its starting to stunt because of that. I like 3 gal pots to finish in. I've used 5 - 7 but I like 3 gal because it takes 1 gal of water / feed every 3 - 4 days and that works perfect for a water / feed cycle. 5 gal can take 5 days to dry so 1 feed every 10 days as opposed to 7 in 3 gal...I've used fabric and plastic, I like fabric for the way the roots grow through the soil and not wrap the outside and bottoms of plastic pots but I really can't say they grow any better weed or healthier plants.Hey all, this is my first grow it is going relatively good nothing crazy is happening but wondering if this plant should be taller? I have my lift at 50% at 2ft above the plant. It is a Vivosun 2000. No burnt leaves or anything but seems like it is on the short side.
Probably over thinking it!
i think the light is fine where it isThanks for all the help. I will likely transplant soon! Should I decrease the light to 25% or just move the light up?
Transplanting is the best first thing to do. Getting watering right is also a big deal. I tend to run my lights lower than other growers. Low light level is especially important when the plants are small. As they grow, they can increasingly use more light, as well as water and nutrients. All the things that enable a plant to grow need to be balanced with each other. Thanks for all the help. I will likely transplant soon! Should I decrease the light to 25% or just move the light up?
Let it recover from your transplant. I hope you watered or fed to seat the plant into its new home. I'll give my plants their full water or feed ( depending on the cycle ) after I transplant and that initial water/ feed it will take a bit longer to dry back than a reg water/feed. Top/ pinch when ever you want now but how big or long are you planing on vegging for? 6 weeks?Top 2 or 3 times?Transplanted yesterday, definitely going to cut back on watering. Also when should I top?
Not sure yet! Yeah maybe 6 weeks playing it by ear. What is normal? About 6 weeks?Let it recover from your transplant. I hope you watered or fed to seat the plant into its new home. Depending on how big you want it. I like them big and usually go 8 weeks plus. I take a cut off mom just before I flip them, clone and have them ready to flip when mom is done and that can take 10 - 11 weeks so plants can get pretty big. too big often but I top and bend regularly to keep them down. Once the branches reach over the sides of the final pot you can clip them to the sides with hooks and string onto clips. If I go over 8 weeks I'll transplant into 5 gal pots but I like 3 gal for convenience of use.Not sure yet! Yeah maybe 6 weeks playing it by ear. What is normal? About 6 weeks?

You could also add a red light if you want it to stretch out more. Transplant and add a red light, you'll see more space between nodes but beware you can stretch them out of your grow space if you're not careful because after you flip they'll stretch again.
