I have these two plants one is dojng well the other is a lagging behind. It is a week young that the bigger one but still slow to grow. Should I flip to flower or wait one more week? I don’t want the big one to get root bound in its gallon size container.

There ready to flip albeit you may want to veg a bit longer
Your first pic the plants needs water.
if only in 3.79litres or 4.55l country depending that might explain it.
they would be better of in 15-20l pots , they probably already root bound in such small pots.

Transplant and wait a few days then flip if you wish
How far away is your light

You can flower in 5l pots I’ve done it however your plants would be happier in larger pots that don’t dry out so fast

Yup that plant got watered today, I am going to transfer them over to 20L pots, I think I am going to do that in the next few days, let them veg more then flip in a week or so? Light is about 24 inches away at 75%

Dont flip yet
First u need to make preparation, try to have canopy at same lvl, maybe do lillipoping. That small one u ve done LST will grow weirdly because main stem is much bigger that the others.

I dont see how I can make all the canopy the same level with the other plant so much bigger.

You can’t unless you train them , there’s no real need for them to be the same size Just transplant as you was going to and veg them out for a week

You could elevate one plant to even the canopy to the taller one.
But, I always try to make sure my plant is 100% healthy before I flip. I don’t want my plants still focusing on repairs and balancing processes before I flip to the critical stretch phase. Other than that, flip when it best works for you.

As Gmox mentioned. Transplant to their final pot. Give them time to recover. Check for stresses and verify they are healthy and recovered. You want perky leaves, preferably no actively discoloring lower leaves.

If we don’t smash watering habits, nutrients and deficiencies before flip, she will do all sorts of weird things to you in flower.

I don’t know your skill level. My personal approach is 3 days. I manicure my plant how I want it before flower. Prune, defoliate and lollipop before flower and always giving that 3 days before I do any stress and flipping flower is a major stress point. I do not touch her 21 days after flowering. I heavy heavy defoliate and prune lollipop in once sitting, then I never touch her again unless I want some leaves that are shaded to be gone. Extreme light pruning in the rest of flower phase (if you have to) and 3+ days recovery after any stress performed in flower. Every stress you induce during flower directly affects end yield and potency.

I like how it’s going and what I see though. Big 👍👍

That’s a good point I forgot about that old trick of elevating one so the canopy is even

It is better to have it even so there all getting the right amount of light when I said there no real need I need I was being flippant I think ( hadn’t had enough to smoke ) lol

I’m no big fan of defoliation unless my plants bushy and not getting enough air flow I won’t do it

I do see it as a personal preference and there’s nothing wrong with that 🙂

Lollipoping can be beneficial and I won’t knock it personally I just let em grow the odd bit of lst that’s about it
As said it’s all about what suits you and not what suits us 😉🙂

Besides the one or two leaves with yellowing what other things are you seeing that shows light stress

Get them healthy and then flip. Don't let that happen during flower or you won't get good buds.

It’s mainly the top one that looks stressed now it was very dry and in to small a pot. If it was drying out to much to often it’s probably why it didn’t handle the light so well. It’s the way the leaves look it’s hard to describe tbh

Thanks! Raising the light and moving to bigger pots today
