nitrogen deficiency or a ph imbalance

Sometimes that’s also what new growth looks like.

Only new growth? Calcium or micro's. N would show up on old leaves first. If it's only new growth it's going to be an immobile nute. Macro's are mobile and will pull from the old leaves. As @Wolfe said might just be the new growth without a pic just guessing.

Nitrogen deficiency will start from the bottom .. N is highly mobile in the plant so it wil be relocated to new growth

the question is .. is there yellowing from the bottom also occuring
