I got rid of spider mite on 2 occasions doing this above.Arbico organics, carries a lot of of that stuff! A lot of information on that site also! I stick with Water! Especially in flower! I’ve even flipped plants upside down, and submerge them in a garbage can full of water! Just to see what would happen! Didn’t bother the plant! But I was just playing around there weren’t any thrips on it! It was about a 3 foot plant in flower!View attachment 2438732
I used citric acid and wetting agent to dunk the plants into up to the coco/pot, wetting agent or dish soap plays an important part in removing surface tension it's arguably as important as the active ingredient, you can kill adults insects effectively with a mix of water and wetting agent but it doesn't deal with eggs.
A good example of surface tension is a drop of wetting agent or dish soap into water with springtails they immediately fall through the surface, in a leaf setting water and wetting agent is highly attracted to insects it engulfs and drowns them on contact...if you're a fly fisher you'll be well familiar with surface tension.
