My tent is located in the shade in my backyard. I have insulation in and around it which definitely helps but it still doesn't trap as much water as I need it to. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a humidifier suitable for a 4x8 tent.

capital F those warm mist ones unless you're cool with cleaning it every like 2 weeks.

get a cool mist. the warm mist have a heating element that calcium (from the water) adheres to and eventually needs to be cleaned. until its cleaned, it will lose little flakes off the element and its now in your water. and as the water is warmed, the plastic condensates and leaks water out the bottom where the vent is to prevent the heating element from overheat. not a problem if you put the humie in a plastic bin but its not worth it imo. very effing irritating. i had mine in one of them freezer ice bins.

Thank you for the information and the link!

i question these cool mist humidifiors, i bought the vicks cool mist and finding it gives off a white film on everything. i thought it was the high clorine in the tap water, so i left a bucket of water out to sit and de-chlorine but it still looks like it gives off a white mist and dust's things with it. i signed up with the farm tonite for advice and found this thread. the cool mist discription says to clean once a week with bleach, then dry it, then clean with vinager. i havnt cleaned it since buying, 3 months ago.

i used the wick model (sponge) in the past and didnt have the white problem. they are old style now and only see the cool mist and warm mist's in the store. walmart, i didnt look on amazon.

Do you think an essential oil diffuser would humidify the tent as well? That would be a two birds with one stone issue if it did

I don’t see why it wouldn’t but I also don’t see why you’d want one inside your tent, idk what essential oils do for plant life

Most of the all natural sprays are essential oils. Spearmint, Lavender, rosemary, garlic all ward off different kinds of insects so I figured diffusing essential oils into the air would ward them off as a small preventative measure. As long as the diffuser isn't like right next to your buds on your plant

if i used one i wouldnt use it once i'm a week from flowering. i wouldn't want any possibility of my nugs being in a scented room unless its marijuana scented by mother nature.

LOL this is me right now because i knew about their uses but i forgot about their essential oil status/term
