When growing in soil is it still necesary to use a ph meter to keep the ph at the right level whilst giving nutrients once a week. Or is this not a problem when growing in soil.

How do you plan on feeding them? What type of nutrients are you adding?
If you're growing organic no need to adjust anything. With chemical nutes, which I don't personally use,I'd say go ahead & pH adjust.Bottled organic nutes need no adjustment.
IMO there is no need to use chemical nutes when growing in soil, leave the chemicals for the hydro guys.
