I have a solution for stem mold ,seems to be fairly effective in saving the plant. You need defender mold spray , tree pruning spray paint, small cardboard shield ,paper towel . Spray aera Wipe clean if leaves limp cut off the stem , spray infected area with the paint, use the shield ,the paint is Very sticky , gooey , and black . It forms a hard skin and protects the area . You have to be diligent , inspect ,treat , repeat , you can see them finish ,
