Grown both a few times, the Super Lemon Haze is a long term favourite. 👍 The Franco's Lemon Cheese is a tall plant, grew past my light shade, and it was well topped in veg. 😁

They are well and truly on their way now. Veg state achieved. Quick question, the cheese strain I am sure already has a cannabis odour. Is this normal? Never grown cheese before.

Started low stress training on the cheese and taking @chemistry advice going to train it low to compensate for highght in flower.

peace

The Franco's I thought smelt less of cheese than other cheese strains I've grown, pineapple pine flavour the bag I'm smoking at the minute. 👍 I have to top my Super Lemon Haze's in my space or they become light huggers, if I remember, the Franco's grew threw my light shade. 😁

Should it be smelling already? Seem ridiculously early lol

Coming along nicely now. They have reached full veg and are happy and healthy. Humidity is still a slight problem @38 - 40 RH but the plants seem to be ok with it so let's see. I have upped the feeds to 1500ml on Franco and 1200ml on the lemon haze. Will think about the switch to flower over the next week to 10 days.

They are responding well to the LST Will be doing the second training today or tomorrow to spiral it around the pot a bit more before flowering.

I have never had plants that smell so much in Vegetative state, when I touch the leaves it stinks of ganja. I am a little worried that I am going to be stinking out the neighbourhood by the time they are ready for harvest. They are going to test my carbon filter that's for sure.

Hope you are all good, peace ✌️

All plants have been topped and ate doing extremely well. The FLC is almost at flowering stage with multiple bud sites exposed from the LST and is forming a nice even canopy. The SLH are catching up, will give them a light defoliation to expose more bud sites and start developing their canopies.

Feeding every 3/4 days with 1500ml of water @6.5ph 22.5c. I have rearranged the environment so that the air from the heater is distributed evenly before reaching the plants.

Very happy with the progress so far RH is more or less stable at 40% and temps around 75f.

The Franco's lemon cheese is almost ready for flowering so am keeping it low with low stress training and some light pruning until the Lemon Haze can catch up a little.

I am having an issue where too much water is running through the pots when I water them which I haven't had in my previous grow. I think it could be due to the slightly increased % of perlite used this time. I will do some research and see what comes up. If anyone has any suggestions that would help me out feel free.

The plants are looking extremely healthy and now are developing multiple bud sites on all plants. The canopies are somewhat even, not as much as I would like but hey ho.

I am very pleased with the results, they all have a strong, pungent smell even at this early stage so God knows what they will be like in flower. I am hoping than when I seal the tent vents more of the air will be filtered through my carbon filter.

Humidity is raising slightly which is a good thing. It is now at about 45% as the plants are creating more Humidity themselves now as they mature. I would ideally like it up another 15% but honestly I only have a small humidifier and cannot be bothered to have to fill it 4 times a day. I will experiment with the machine and see if I can reach a happy medium and improve my VPD.

That's all for now, have a great day
Peace ✌️

We add some biochar to the soil to increase water retention properties of the soil slightly.
Also we started using hydroton instead of perlite and find it superior.

Nothing wrong with good drainage. 😉 I found the Super Lemon Haze a smaller plant than the Franco's so it may not catch up. 👍

So far so good the plants are now at a trained height of between 20 and 23cm tall. The Super Lemon haze plants have now caught up to the Franco's lemon cheese which is what I have been waiting for, I have taken off the 1st LST ties and the plants have kept their structure. I will continue to veg until they reach about 30ish cm (maybe end of this week), this should give me a manageable final height in flower and will also allow branches to develop slightly more so as to avoid too many later problems with branch stability during the final weeks of flowering. No signs of pests or genetic defects.

I have taken off some of the small branches at the bottom of the plant and defoliated a good portion of the older leaves which were blocking potential new budsites. This is going to make sure airflow is good, allowing the fan to pass air under the plants easily.

They are now taking 2000ml of water every 3 days with a 2ml per 1000 ml ratio of Biobizz Heaven, bio grow and acti Vera. Which will be kept steady until the switch to flowering.

My humidifier broke down so will have to find a solution soon.

Hope you're all having a great day.

Peace ✌️

Just a quick update. The girls are doing well. Switched to 12/12 19 days ago and they are all forming good solid looking budlets. Stretch is not what I had hoped but on my last grow a vegged for way too long and ended up with mammoth plants, but it was impossible to monitor the quality and keep them in check. I was aiming for a hight of about 70 cm. They are at 33cm at the moment so hopefully will see at least 20cm of stretch. Fingers crossed, if I don't reach .y desired height I am no too fussed as long as I have quality nugs.

LST has worked well, all plants have an even top canopy consisting of about 5 to 6 main colas. I have managed to control the Franco's lemon cheese so as to give the super lemon haze a chance to catch up and they are now all uniform. Constant light defoliation has developed the lower canopy also with loads of secondary budsites progressing well. Will do slightly more LST in a week or so just to separate the main colas more and in turn give more light to the lower canopy.

They are stinky mother fuckers and am looking forward to the results.

Peace ✌️

Started forming solid looking budlets, they are currently very short. If anyone has any insights as to how much more upward growth I should expect to see would be really helpful. They are currently at about 35cm and are coming into week 4 of flowering. Other than the size I am really happy with them. They are lush green and healthy. I have began LST again, just as I don't want to be cutting them too much now and stressing them out. The budlets already have crystals forming and smell fantastic. I realised that I was pumping too much air into the tent which was pushing stinky air out. I turned off my intake fan and now my carbon filter is doing it's job perfectly. Little to no smell is escaping.

I have had 0 problems so far with the ladies

Have a fantastic day people

@The_word Your Plants look great, a question, getting back to your topping, were they all mainstem topped and just LST's or were they multi topped after the Main? Always curious how others do their Sati's, indoors they need to be tamed....lol - thanks M8

I usually top them once then use LST for the rest.
