Update: The soils pH was a little high again at 7.2. We're hoping we didn't add to much nutrients trying to fix a simple problem..yikes, We brewed some earthworm casting tea and are confident this will right the ship. Now we're discussing what could possibly be raising the soils pH that high?
just keep adding water/ food in at a ph say 6.o that way it should level out, cal mag normally drops its by adding just a little amount to water. plant doesnt look bad at all just looks like a little rust on few leafs, dno what the other marking are.

Thanks , I've had this before and the smoke still came out good. Not to worried about it, just a little humbled by this as I have no freakn idea what's really going on. Happened with RO water and it's happening with tap water so I'm ruling out the water. We just added two more pots to the tent and gonna do something a little diffrent with those.

I just remembered and have a clue as to what is causing the pH to go up a little here, the BIOCHAR! It has to be the biochar. I had amended some in there when I redid the soil. Anyways, I forgot about using coffee grounds to naturally drop the pH as a topsoil amendment. We're doing that tonight. I also ordered some Biovast vermicompost to add later on. We're gonna add some super rich fungal dominated compost here soon. That's the plan for now. The Runtz has some new neighbors now. We squeezed in two 10 gallon pots in there. tight fit but we will manage.

I think .. we have the problem under control 😂 leaves are not falling like flies but they falling still, at a slow pace. The soils pH is at 6.9. Plants are still growing the flower, so that's a good thing. 😁

We trimmed down the shorty. She is not growing out as fast as the taller one. Her buds are half the size. 🙄 So we went to town and prepared her for the final stages of flower, cleared a lot of branches and leaves for some improvement in airflow and light penetration. We can see the top soil from the top now down the middle of the plant.

As for the tall one, I can tell it's gonna grow some monster buds. The pistils are growing fast and larger than what I'm generally use too. And she's drinking healthy at two gallons of water every two days.
We topped dressed with some vermicompost (fancy name for earthworm castings) one of the bags had worms in it! Surprised me good.

The taller of the two is drinking LOTS of water... getting crazy. I check the soil daily now and these last two nights she's been sucking up 2 gallons of water. (10% the soils volume) Have an interesting system going on right now. New to me anyways, I hooked up the temperature Inkbird to my heater, it's a radiator style unit. And the temperature probe of the Inkbird is hanging on the inside of the tent. (via one of the tents circular vents closed real tight) The heater is to big to fit inside the tent so we have it about 2 feet from the tent outside. When the lights go off the temps drop fast, I have the Inkbird set to 69 degrees. When the temps drop (inside the tent) below 68-69 the Inkbird automictically turns on the heater. A little buffer there for the extremes when they get here soon. (winter)

I like to rotate the pots (once or twice a month) just in case of any hot spots (lighting). added some more nematodes to all the pots. My brain goes dead every time I start talking during a vid. 😏

The dots are still coming, slowly. I saw it somewhere that this can come on from a bad fungus gnat infestation too. And there's a bunch down there. Gonna check my local hydra store and see if they have any Azamax. (just finishing week 5 going into week 6) We did get hit with some rain and high humidity these last two days, so that probably boosted the fungus gnat activity,

We picked some up at the hydro store, dude gave me a $30 discount off the listed price ...way cool, shit was still expensive. First time using the stuff, so we'll see.

I keep bringing it up and I'm now understanding that calcium is used up during the first phases of flower, especially if your using super bright LED lighting. Hence the top leaves being the first to show the calcium deficiency, mid to lower leaves that are not blocked or shaded by the top leaves will show signs as well. It's slowly sinking into my psychic (mind). I have 4x2 tent inside that will flip in a week or two so I topped dressed with some gypsum. I'm really curious if this will help or not, since it takes a couple weeks for it to break down a few weeks before flipping seems to be the right move. I added some (two handful's to the pot) to this current (RUNTZ) grow I have in the garage as the deficiency is on going. I'd use cal mag but am not seeing any magnesium deficiency's. I'm shooting from the hip guys, still have a lot to learn. I'm trimming off badly deformed leaves to reduce energy from the plant to keep them alive and it looks bad for photos and video.. 🤣

Well here's one thing for sure, how plants start will not be how they finish. I thought the faster grower was gonna be the stud bud muffin, the tall one , nope ..this shorty hasn't even hit the 2nd half of flower yet and it's already getting fatter than the tall one. 😐 PHAT (Pretty Hot And Tempting)
