Testing THC levels

Being a first year grower and trying to stay within the limits of our hemp license for thc of 0.03% or less we're looking for a way to test our plants at our farm. Sending our samples to labs are very costly. What would you group of senior growers suggest are our options?

Buy a gas chromatography machine. I've seen them for around $1500-$2000 up here in Canada. Buddy of mine just bought one.
