Cheese is around. I saw him post fairly recently I believe. I like that dude 😎

Lots of talk about how 100 watt panels don’t flower. That’s the wattage driving the Liberty Haze. I can’t remember if I posted the light specs for that panel and I’m far too lazy to go back and look.

This space is an exception due to how small it is. If it were any bigger the panel in there would be good for veg and that’s about it. It’s been running hard at 100% for weeks and I just backed it down to 80% this morning.

Gotcha for a double quote this morning sorry! Dude you just came up with the next challenge! 100w challenge!
My spider farmer 100watt light had the okie i was running looking like fire up until the point it hermed. Shit would have been amazing! 100 watts is absolutely enough to roll something through the line! Go Team 100 watts! 😆

That would be a cool challenge because there’s such a fine line between its going to work and 💩 the bed. At least with that light.

unless heat is just getting a bit much for the transpiration rates to keep up with, i vote just leave that shit at 100% and give it like 24hrs of dark before cut to let those volatiles build back up.

PSA: the dark period is not a thing to increase potency like many misunderstand it to be. All it does is allow for non volatile terps to build back up. As light, heat, and excessive airflow tends to vaporize and oxidize them.

i.e.: If you give a bubba kush, or something heavy indica with mostly stable terps that dark period, you probably wont notice a difference, but give something like a Haze that dark period, and you absolutely will. We harvest lavender for essential oil extraction during dark period, because thats when volatile terps are *at their highest production capacity in the plant*

Any plants you have with a peppery, fruity, or sweet profile will absolutely benefit from a dark period before harvest. And you can absolutely use it to regain some of whats lost during the final stacking periods where they gain the most weight, and benefit the most from intense light.

TL:DR, if that was mine, id run it 100% til she was done if i could manage, then id just stick it in the dark with little to no airflow on it for 24-48 hrs before cut to help her build the volatiles back. I dont reccomend over 48hrs though, because then the plant will start generating copious amount of extra chlorophyll to attempt tp photosynthesize the lack of light

Im not sure where people got the idea that the dark period increases potency, thats absurd. It just something you do to help maintain the volatile terps into the cure jar

Who says 100 watts won’t work in flower 🤣Im running a 2x2 with a 150 watt bar style light turned down to 50-60% that’s 90 watts, and I’ve run 100 watt non dimming leds in that tent through multiple harvest.

my 32x32 is only four 55w panels right now, and im pulling prob 9-12oz out of it over the course of this week on early pulls. Ive hit a Lb dry with a setup like this and monocropping a high yielder more than once. Ive pulled just shy of 2.5 lb from a 4x4 dialed in and monocropped under like 500w. Ive got close to 3 in a 5x6 space under a single double ended 1kw HPS with hardcore religiously dialed in VPD/DLI in DWC hydro. Coulda def done the same with a 600w-ish led for sure. In the 32x32, even on a super crappy soil run ill still get like 5-7oz dry.

You can yield a 1/4 lb from a 2x2 under 85w LED if you nail the run start to finish with a high yield for the m3 hybrid and super solid training with properly done defol and pruning for sure, going beyond is definitely possible too.

Ive pulled a solid ounce from three 33 watt 3500k CFL's in a computer case lol. Dank buds. Fluff, but dank as fuck.

I’m just stirrin’ the ol’ s***pot 🤣

I do see a lot of small home grows with 100 watt panels and it’s either hit or miss. That has to be a decently small area or you may as well just leave the lamp on.

My first indoor run last year was with the 5000k white light led from amazon. Like you say it can be fluffy but dank. I had some medium dense top buds but nothing beyond that anywhere else on the plant. Awesome strain so it smelled and tasted great! And got me pretty high : ) running different strains and have better lighting this run and its a world of difference : )

Im still down for a little 100watt challenge though. Maybe October’ish sometime. Im shutting up shop in a few and will only be using the sun from here on out until around then! Hahaha! 😆✌️

What’s everybody’s favorite thing to grill during the summer?

We love Tri Tips or New Yorks with ears of corn and potatoes.
I like to throw a pork roast on the smoker for a couple hours, and mom makes a killer homemade bbq sauce, I'll get a nice deep smoke ring on it, then she'll pull it in her crockpot and slow cook her sauce into it. It's done when the sauce thickens 😈🔥

My preferred smoke wood is all of them at the same time, and coal chimney to get it goin or bust. 🤙

I’m pretty fond of marinated steak and chicken with shrimp skewers, and a mix of summer squash and zucchini slices tossed in olive oil and steak seasoning on skewers . I typically prefer my cuts of steak that are seasoned cooked on a cast iron pan, but marinated meats come out better grilled rather than caramelized in their own marinade.

Last 4th of July I was at the Navy base at China Lake. I got a massive brisket for something crazy like $50-60 at the Commissary. Then I got it home and wondered if it could be cooked on a Weber. Thanks to the good people in Texas, the instructions were already on Google. I love Texas and everyone there.

It took about 17 hours but it was delicious.

Meat really is these days. Out here it’s $10 for a pack of crappy bacon. $15-20 if you want the real stuff.
