So here’s millionth and 1😀.

Unfortunately I have very few full plants pics, but all the plants did fine. In July I starting see the spots. Plants not showing any clawing or burning that would indicate over fertilization. Using organic nutes in a super soil setup - BioLive, Feather meal, Langbeinite, fish bone, kelp, alfalfa, neem seed, crab, blah, blah blah and what ever was on hand.

I remove the effected leaves.

Plants doing fine end of July

Spots continue on all plants, including ones not in this immediate area - which is definitely making me think disease.

I keep removing the effected leaves and in the end it didn’t seem to effect the buds/harvest.

I would think Septoria, but at no point did I see the brown spots. And if you notice the spots don’t seem to cross the leaf vein, which makes me think nutrient.

I sprayed with various (organic) fungicide. Never noticed any effect.

Did see a large number of leaf hoppers, which although I always see, seemed to be much more prolific then normal. (Always see 2 spotted mites and worms, but nothing out of the ordinary and dealt with them with organics.)

Anyone seen spots like this or have an idea of what they are?

That is leaf spot disease. Big bummer sorry you have a fungus in your soil. Keep water off the leaves the best you can only water the ground and keep all the dead stuff picked pick up. Since you are already picking off the affected leaves you are keeping the fungus from spreading. .

Keep your soil aerated well with a hand cultivator after every watering and let it dry well between waterings. Fungicides don't work after you already have fungal spore bloom. You can talk to your local extension agent from your location for the best preventive information. Good luck.

Thanks Trixe, obviously this isn’t a current grow and the growing area is fallow at the moment and clear of leaf litter.

All the plant pathology labs I’ve seen that accept samples, look for known pathogens. i.e. you can test for such and such, but not a blanket, “tell me what I got?”. So having a hard time zeroing in on a likely candidate as I don’t see anything similar while searching online. It’s a fairly specific appearance and impossible to believe I’d be the only grower with this virus. If anyone has come across similar pictures, please post. Unlike all other fungus growth which has some type of spot or tiny pimple-like structures or black color, I didn’t see a similar growth on my crop.

I do have a similar looking pathogen on a nearby hedge, but it also exhibits numerous dark spots. With a million leaf diseases thinking this is probably just a coincidence.
