I see so many that say they are growing organic and in the next sentence they want to know when to flush. I realize new growers don't get this so here is a basic explanation of organic growing.

Organic means that you are going to let nature deliver all the food to your plants, you only give water. To do this, nature requires microbes and enzymes. It takes a while to build these up in the soil but once you have them, don't let them get away. Never flush an organic grow. It's almost like killing your plants on purpose. when you flush, you will be robbing the plant of everything it needs to grow without commercial fertilizers.

The enzymes and microbes break apart the minerals and other goodies in the soil to give your plants what they need. By not having a decent size population of them your pH will suffer, and your plants will suffer without regular feedings which it doesn't need if the organics are in place.

Growing organic is easy, once you get it setup and running. Very little plant food is needed. You will use more soil than nutes.

I grow in soil and top dress with Dr Earth for fert. I probably have had a few tablespoons of runoff total for my entire grow😂 plants seem to be loving it. The only thing I’m still not sure about is a good time to stop top dressing so that the excess nutes are used up by harvest. My last dressing was week 6 I think and I just finished week 7. I’m hoping that’s long enough for the plants to use everything. They still look super lush.

I feed 3 times during the entire grow.
1. Initial recharge in the soil with food and enzymes.
2. A week before flower I give it a guano/enzyme boost.
3. If it needs it, I'll give a mixed tea just to offset any lack that might have occurred.

Thats it. The rest is carbon filtered water only.

So only use the recharge in the initial watering but not throughout the entire grow? I plan on starting the seeds in a 5 gallon fabric pot so I won’t need to transplant. Do I wait until they sprout to introduce the recharge or use that on the first watering after planting?

I went crazy with the recharge but probably didn’t need to but it stated on the bag for extreme results use every other watering so that’s what I did. I made batches of compost tea every other watering. It didn’t seem to hurt lol but I don’t have anything to compare it to as this is my first grow

She’s beautiful! Thanks for your input! Still waiting on the rest of our grow tent supplies to arrive to get set up and start a new grow. Going organic with a landrace strain from bag seeds we’ve been collecting over the last year. Hoping for a girl! Wish us luck!

Mix the recharge into the soil before planting. Then water. Let it 'cook' for about a week before planting if you can. Give it time to get fully active. Keep the soil slightly damp always. If it dries out completly, your MBE's will die off and have to be recharged again.

I did a run a while back with cocoloco and happy frog dry amendments. It worked okay, but seemed to want a little less light and took a little longer to finish. Its an easy way to go for sure.

Thanks! The recharge instructions say to mix with water then water the plant so you’re saying mix it dry with the soil then water? How much in a 5 gallon pot?

I am going to try this stuff to amend my SOHUM when I recycle it.

One thing I dont get. How do microbes live in a powder like recharge but not in soil when it dries out? Might sound dumb to those who know more about this but I'm serious.

Ya I want to get better at making sure the top stays moist but as long as I reintroduce I’m good. It’s always just the top layer. I’ve thought he about using blumat watering systems to help keep it moist but I think it’s important to learn how to hand water, how much, and how often to be a better grower but maybe I’ll look into it for the future. If I leave for vacation and don’t appoint someone to water my grow I’ll prolly end up using the system… you really seem to push the recharge here do you work for them or something? Love the stuff and everyone does need to know about it tho if your growing using organic inputs…

I use blumat watering system. It’s the bomb. I only hand water outdoors now.

I’ll probably end up incorporating it. I starting a bigger grow at my girls house since we are allowed 5 per house. Then expanding over to my fathers as well since he seen the results I’ve been getting so it’s exciting but also going to be harder to manage as time goes so I see this being a necessity at some point…

Here's some of my completely organic plants that I am currently growing, no added nutrients, no special soil, nothing. Just regular soil from my backyard( I live in the valley of California, San Joaquin Valley to be specific)

Here's some pictures of my buds I grew last year in the same soil and everything, all I do is water them. Strains are unknown.

Honestly, I really wish companies who sell seeds or even weed would have a photo comparison of a specific strain grown completely organic, nothing special etc. And another picture of that same strain grown with all the additives, teas, nutrients, special soil etc. Idk, I will probably never be able to afford to grow my cannabis with all the special teas, soil and whatnot so idk I just would like to see completely organic weed be grown and shown more often cause I feel like there is this stigma around cannabis that you absolutely need to spend all that.money on nutrients and soil and whatnot just to grow cannabis but you really don't need any of that. But I feel like that stigma really deters people from wanting to at least try it out y'know? I don't know lmfao, just thought I'd share haha.

You won’t regret it. Made my life so much simpler.
