Okay so he went to shut it off, it broke underneath. When I first bought my house I was coming home turned on my street, someone has a big leak. Proceeded down the street I am that someone. I went to shut off the main. It had a tag that’s it’s a felony for me to shut it off the leak is in between my main and the city main. They had to come out and twist the thing at $99. The dude was cool. He told me that when they built my neighborhood the tweakers went around and stole all the copper piping between. Sure enough after digging up the line it was copper with pvc as the middle where they stole it
.
Damn copper thieves. Mine's galvanized and worthless.

He finally got the new valve and whatever else on after 8 hours but says he has to come back and finish. Sounds like a good time to move before I get the bill.

I can’t tell the difference on a lot of the leaf deficiencies graphs the difference between a lot of the examples. They look too similar. The mothers had the same thing going on in veg. Cap attributed it to mag . One of the plants was almost bleach white at the end of flower. I am grabbing some potassium bicarbonate right now for the next feeding and see how they do. On another note, you now have me wanting to pursue brewing my own beer. Here’s the analysis with the potassium.

it can be hard to totally tell in pics though too. Many mild deficiencies do look similar, in my own grows potassium has been the far more common deficiency over magnesium, so i just tend to lean toward that first lol. More often then not, for me, its been a potassium thing when ive seen that kinda leaf coloring in person in veg.

If you are using tap water, then id take another step in the direction potassium, as tap water is quite saturated with both calcium and magnesium, potassium much less so IIRC.

There are any number of ways to make a potassium supplement. Ordering some of that stuff, or just going to a brew store and grabbing a pack is just cheap, and highly effective both lol. Keep in mind it will rasie PH slightly, but in a solution full of feed and ph stabilizers already, it will be negligible.

@Captspaulding what is your take on the potassium that one guy posted? Yesterday I was going through the leaf chart I happened upon a potassium deficiency that described bleach white leaves late flower, which is exactly what one of those nl5 s looked like late flower. The earlier pictures were to my eye indistinguishable from the mag deficiency pictures.
I can’t remember for the life of me who you are talking. About
Link?

if you are using tap water, its orders of magnitude more likely to be potassium over magnesium in most modern municipalities im pretty sure. You are correct though, when early stages a crap load of deficiencies can present pretty much the same with only very slight nuances between them, especially where immobile nutrients and metallic compounds are concerned (the "iums"), not all plants will present early stages the same either, which makes it even trickier. With pics only, diagnosis of early stage deficiency is a total crapshoot honestly.

Id be willing to bet money potassium be the culprit of those pale margins if using tap water though.

Negative on the link. I am referring to my plants one was white. I don’t think it was was from this site, just an adventure on the leaf graph.
those leaf graphs, altho painfully accurate, can be painfully misleading as well. Those "iums" can be very tricky sometimes, especially if ya got sativas that wanna grow real fast. They can present early almost identically, and if you treat too soon for the wrong "ium" you can throw all kinds of stuff out of whack. Youll rarely kill it or ruin a harvest, but your plant will look all sorts of "not right" lol.

Potassium also, at least in my own experience, tends to be the only deficiency outside N that will present commonly by itself, and not along side other issues. Magnesium deficiency usually comes along side a host of other issues/deficiencies.

@Putthataway

You can foliar feed potassium as well, i just dont remember the ratios and im not sure if you could use bicarbonate for that purpose. Its water soluble and plant untalkable as is, so i dont see why not (def do research there first lol). It'd be a way to very quickly determine if it is indeed potassium anyway i would think.

Hey Capt, when you dry the plant after cutting her down, do you cut the fan leaves off?

I have been. Not sure why? Does it have an effect on the taste? Thanks ✌️

These are my best buds yet. Just wanted to show off. Early week 7.

Things I did different than normal:
-No defoliating
-Less nutrients (gaia) roughly 2 T/gal
-pH adjust feed water (in soil)

I still get Mg deficiency I think due to led lights. I add Epsom salt to feed water when it shows (not for a couple week now).

Probably a pull or tear. Go real easy (I'm sure you got little choice). Ice for a couple days then heat. I'm usually using both after a few days. Whatever makes it feel better.

I make this sauve for my wife's neuropathy. Coconut oil infused with THC & CBD that works within 5-10 minutes for her. I bet just THC would also work. 1gm decarbed bud to 1 oz oil. I usually make 8-10 oz in a jar at a time. Lost a 1/2 gallon batch once when the jar broke. I put oil and decarbed flower in quart mason jars with a loose fitting lid and cook in a covered slow cooker 3 hours. I strain the material out in a French press coffee maker, works like a charm. Add 1 Tbl bees wax, 1 Tbl tapioca starch and 1/2 tsp xanthan gum and cook until wax is melted.

You can add plant extracts like Lavender, Rosemary (both of which I grow) etc to cover the pot smell. Liquid vitamin E or several other oils with different properties for you skin can also be incorporated.

I never would have believed it would work this well but everyone I've shared it with loves it. Light up and feel better man.
Aren't shoulder rotator cuffs one of those wonky areas you can actually tear or damage and not realize it when you do, but all it takes is moving once the wrong way and boom, nightmare?

I'll have to ask my mom, but i really feel like something very similar happened to my mom a few years ago @TreeBee

I am hoping I just pinched something. Its not constant pain anymore so I feel like its improving a bit. I still cant raise my arm though

Im not trying to worry you, promise, just advising caution. If its feasible i would def get it checked out sooner rather then later. If it is a rotator cuff tear, IIRC, that's a thing that usually needs a mild surgery to go back to normal, and if you wait, also IIRC, it's one of those things where scar tissue buildup will ease pain, but make the surgery more difficult.

There was a whole thing about my mom not getting her shoulder checked out because she thought it would heal on it's own, and she waited a long time to get it looked at, and so its prob not ever going to be 100% again. And she did need a mild surgery that took like 45 mins. Had she had the surgery in a timely manner she would have 100% range of motion still. She has most, cant lift arm straight up anymore though, and it gives her a bit of trouble with weather and stuff now.

She couldnt lift up her arm, and the injury happened while gardening when you would not expect it too, im not 100% sure what it was, i sent a text, but pretty sure it was her rotator cuff.

I was in the NAVY. Got this coverd. ✌️🤣

All you need is RICE

Rest ,ice and elevation. It’s a cure all 🤣🤣🤣

For real not making light of your pain. ✌️🤓
I am trying. I really suck at the rest part though. So much to do this time of year.

On a lighter note I noticed the tree in my profile picture looks like hes really giving it to a guy.

And LSD
IMG 5405

I’m aware of the windburn on these plants, having trouble with high temperatures in my lung room due to an old ac unit that needs to be replaced, so I’m running a couple fans in the tent higher than I normally would just to keep it below 90 degrees. I’m hoping that these ladies hit their stride pretty soon, the LSD is probably the only one at this point that has responded well to the LST. Its lower branches are taking off. She’s going to be fun to train. I’m hoping to see more of a response from the others after today’s session.
