Weather here got warm early. I turned the heat off Sunday. It’s been 80 degrees. About 69 inside at the early morning and got 80 at my house thermostat. This leads me to 3 fuck ups in like 4 days. First I turned the light power up. They seemed like they were liking it so I cranked it up some more. It got hot in there 87 and the plants were acting like it’s too much. I came back and it was 87 again. I had moved it from 7 to 5. When I went to check it was at 7 still.🤷‍♂️ . I moved it down to 5. Watered them during the day. Humidity shot up to 67 overnight 🙄. Didn’t water them even though the soil was dry already and humidity was in the 40s overnight. Today the tent again hit 87 degrees again 🙄. Light still at 5. Opening the door to the lung room I could get it to 83 degrees. Closed it after it cooled down and I had 86 in 20 minutes again. So I had turn on the house hvac and prop the door open and I back at 78-79. Weather is supposed to go back to the 60s in on Monday. Regardless I managed to piss them off. Fried leaves everywhere. The good news is the buds seemed to have doubled in size.

You made me laught cause I’ve seen a post on facebook about home remedies and this sounded like one 😂 but Imma buy some legit calmag
If you want truly organic calcium and magnesium your answer is bone Neal and epsom salta. And magnesium sulfate is only biologically organic not chemically.

There isn't a biologically organic immediately plant available cal mag supplement available, I'm not even sure if that's possible.

I wasn't necessarily giving a home remedy, just your closest to organic, immediately available to the plant option that doesn't have to break down first

As far as brand of immediately available cal mag go, none are better then others, pick your poison. What matters is where your money is going because it's all calcium and magnesium nitrate. Some have magnesium sulfate, but that's just Epsom salts

Once a magnesium deficiency is manifesting physically it's actually been around for a minute. Something immediately available like Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) is probably your best move.

I feel ya brother, I've been having to deal with heat as well; especially since I put a 2nd dehumidifier in the lung room. I run with the door open & a blower, blowing cool air in from the hallway. My problem is that I can't get the nighttime RH lower than around 60 in my 4x8 tent.

So far the plants seem to be loving the 90's.

will the use epsom salt diluted in tapwater. sounds true since calcium and magnesium are considered inorganic elements. Im still trying to figure out organic as you can tell. I started with hydroponic nutes and coco coir and transitioned into organic only

Magnesium IS Epsom salt. This place sells calcium if you really want to buy something.View attachment 2371930
Marketing is a helluva thing.

Calcium phosphate is also only "organic" from a biological definition standpoint. Crude oil is every bit as organic as calcium phosphate as far as chemistry and biochemistry is concerned.

Synthetically derived calcium phosphate and organically derived calcium phosphate are as identical as it is physically possible to be.

If using water soluble calcium compounds you need to be treating those as synthetic solubles to avoid burn and mineral buildups just like the Epsom salt btw. That means water til drainage after using it.

Doesn't mean it's bad for the plant, actually it doesn't mean anything at all. But I'm definitely the "squeeze all the accurate information out of a context that I can" guy 🤣🤣

What’s crazy is I have never been able to get above 50 rh in my 2x4 without a humidifier. In the 5x5 with 8 or 9 plants that night drop brought it above after lights out. After removing the males I was down in the 40s with 5. This week that 67 showed up after lights out. On watering day after the 87 . You are in hydro so the correlation between my spikes and your consistency above kind of makes sense , especially because you are in Arizona and have at some what similar conditions vs. someone in another state.👊

@Putthataway

Calcium buildup causes boron lockout btw. Which is a darkening burn to the tips and margins of a plant too, and looks a lot like your leaf tips on a couple of your plants.

Not saying that was that issue, but it's def something to keep track of when using water soluble calcium, it'll sneak up on you, cause boron lockout and then micronutrient deficiencies follow

If I used that this grow it was in veg… I will say that calcium is in build a bloom which I most certainly used about week 2. 🤔

If not using it regularly then disregard.

It's just one of those things you gotta water to drainage on to prevent build up in the bottom of the pot if you use it frequently

Water soluble calcium is great stuff. Til it isn't lmao. Same with magnesium

The calcium in the build a soil is probably from bone or feather meal or something that releases over time as it breaks down. Rock dust that hasn't released yet. Stuffs like that. It's the only way to put enough calcium in soil for an organic long haul that won't scortch the plant out when it's young or fuck micronutrient uptake.

According to the video it’s available immediately.

It’s 2am, twenty degrees outside with snow and I’m making GMO hash outta some trim. And I’m doing it outside in 20 degree weather to keep the temps down all around on the equipment, bags, etc. I let the washing machine sit outside for awhile beforehand so it got really cold first. It’s working great but damn it’s cold out there. Trying to make sure the little washing machine doesn’t freeze up. Easily keeping the water at 32. First pass done on a little test batch. Very happy with the results. Only keeping the 73 thru 120 bags. Second pass water is settling right now and I’m about to drain it and see what I get on this go round.

In the pics below that’s the first pass. The big pile is the 73u and the small pile 120u.
