shit ton of one handed typing. That being said, here it is:
500 ppm of calcium in a hydroponic system is way too high for cannabis and can cause serious problems, including:
500 ppm is overkill and will almost definitely result in nutrient lockout or toxicity.
If someone’s running that high, they should dilute their nutrient solution immediately and aim for a more balanced feed. Let them know before their plants start screaming!

Nutrient Lockout:
- Excess calcium will block the uptake of other essential nutrients like magnesium, potassium, and phosphorus.
- This can lead to deficiencies even if those nutrients are present in the solution.
pH Imbalance:
- High calcium can raise the pH, making nutrients less available to the plant.
Symptoms of Too Much Calcium:
- Stunted growth
- Rust-colored spots on leaves (often confused with deficiency)
- Leaf tip burn or curling
- Salt buildup in the reservoir and around the root zone
Ideal Range:
