I’m conflicted with which strain to run in the 3x3 I’m thinking of flowering the kahuna 2 mother and letting her go after then run, planning to keep the kahuna 3 and Frostette for now and start looking for something new to go with the 2 mothers I have, got a big bag of seeds I haven’t tried from cap still, might give one of them a go next to go in the 4x4

Chilly. It’s like 51 here in KC. Was warmer yesterday damn cold wanna come back.
Hey shout out to another KC cat. In TN now but lived for a long time in KC.

Was in Grandview right by the police station off main street as a registered cultivation address. Lived in Shawnee on the kansas side, and peculiar on the missouri side for a bit too.

Never noticed how specific "C-ya later" was as a farewell to the KC area until i left either 🤣 Dont think ive heard a single person say "c-ya later" since i left KC.

i do not miss kansas city winters, Not one bit. The wind actually stops blowing here in winter sometimes.

within 2-3 weeks youl be getting a pretty heft seed dump from me, im just making you wait til the fems are done too so im not sending multiple people multiple back to back packages

here soon youll have all dozen of my reg haymeadow crosses, and youll also have;

Same thing that happened to us! I was outside dancing thinking spring was here. Two days later, 40 degrees lol
We were at -20 windchill, with 16” of snow, 4 days later it was 74 out, everything melted, 2 days later it was down to 20 again,

Now it’s 24 out and I’m running 2 wood stoves, my tent VPD loves this weather 😆

And that’s why I don’t even monitor it 🤣🤣 temps below 85 (80-82 preferred) and anything below 50% RH full plant run veg and flower

When conflicted, grow them all.

Do people generally let their plants get a little dry before chopping or do it after a recent water?

I let them dry out for 3 or 4 days last time, and tried watering the day before this time. Last dry was a little overdone at 12 days and this one's still really pliable at 10 days so I'm not sure how long it will take. Managed to keep it under 70F and 60% this time.

I just recently watched this scientist guy talk about how a flush is pointless and he recommends just letting. Your plant dry out before harvest.

Honestly I don’t find much of a difference without a flush. But maybe I’m just not smart enough to tell the difference lol

I could try to find the podcast in my recents if you wanna listen to it. Lol

I’ve done both, I prefer the longer dry do now I mainly do it maybe a day or 2 after a watering, which is what I’ll do now in the living soil as I won’t be letting it dry out at the end, I’ll be chopping and cover cropping

If you’re pliable at 10 days you get to 14 at 70f and 60% you should have a really nice dry to go into cure, more than most can hope for (myself included, im usually dry trimming and jarring in 10 days too dry with the wood stoves etc, temps I can keep down usually around 68-70 in the basement but my humidity is either 10% or 90% in my house 🤣

the banjo and mango x pb2 are prob solid 8 weeks strains. Should be pretty quick.

The peaceblaster fems will prob be 9-11weeks depending on phenos. But they are some oldschool sativas that will not disappoint in vigor, potency, or yield either on solid runs. Theyre definitely the highest yielding plants i have. And honestly my favorite daily driver smoke i have too. And its nice to have some sativa dom flower that doesnt smell like fruit or candy too, ya know? Skunks, chem, gas, and calssic cannabis smell is their general terp profiles.

Hell yeah, 11 weeks isint bad at all, I like nice 8 week fast strains that’s what mine are, pushing to 9 if you want more than 10% amber, I like to chop somewhere around 10% ish

I have both plants in a seal environments, each with a fabric pot of coco that I saturated to keep the humidity up. Exhaust kicks in if it goes over 60% so that's been pretty stable.

They're chilling right at 67F now. The weather's been all over the place and I'm hoping it stays cool until they're done. Last time I chopped a month later and couldn't keep the temps down so it was somewhere in the 70s the whole time.

did pineapple chunk just get renamed to pineapple express after that movie?

Pineapple chunk clones got few and far between overnight after that movie came out, and now pineapple express is everywhere lmao.

Dont get me wrong, i loved pineapple chunk lol.

I don't recall the actual year, it was sometime around 1979 or 1980... High Times Magazine included a pull out poster in an issue that featured about 10 of the most well known Hawaiian landrace strains. I remember a Pakalolo Express on there. I don't remember Pineapple Express or Pineapple Chunk but it doesn't mean they weren't on there. Some other ones were Kala Pana Puna, Molokai something (express?), Maui Wowie, Kona Gold and one from Kawaii I don't remember the name. I had that poster hanging in my room and dreamed of one day trying each and every one of them.

I don’t water for 48 hours before chop.

I've heard that too about flushing and didn't really flush much, just plain water a couple times the day before after a few days of weak nutrients. I read somewhere you get better results after a recent watering so said what the hell and tried it. Probably bro science like most things you read.
