I was at my great aunts house back in Marceline Missouri back in the early 90’s for a family reunion. Well the day before, a tornado hit the ground and ran right through the path of the house. Surprisingly, the only thing that happened was a few shutters being ripped off and a rain barrel was set on the other side of the fence not spilling much. The house 50 feet down the road became toothpicks. To this day that’s the loudest noise I’ve ever heard.
Ive seen a couple of the little rope ones back in KC and kansas. never been hit by one. Good news tho is most are little ones like that
in this particular instance the only thing that makes this kind of velocity product and debris signature, is the big baddie monster wedge kind of tornado. And went right through the center of somerset and london kentucky both, and theres a second one going through Somerset right now with a radar signature damn near as evil lookin as the first one. Cyclonic wind speeds near ground level close to 250 mph
im talkin the ef4/ef5 kinda thing. Most towns in east tn and Ky dont even have tornado sirens either.
