You guys have any idea what could cause pistil tips to go brown/orange in the beginning of flowering?

I know pollen does that but I’m not too worried about that prospect. I had the same thing happen on my last/first round of plants.

These plants haven’t been fed nitrogen but they were never too happy even just with how much was in the soil.

Maybe it’s that? Wigs me out a little bit, but not too much ;)

Shit I don’t wanna go through that fear again..
If you do come across any open sacs, because your plant is within the window of When a plant will throw them, get a spray bottle set on mist, and spray any dude bits BEFORE you remove to try to keep what pollen is there, local to the area it showed up. Despite the fact a top site is showing the possibility of pollenation you should still apply this method in order to keep what has flown, to a minimum.

This is also caused by heat sometimes, but I don’t think that is what I’m looking at.

Yeah not heat..

Well looks like here we go again, two grows in a row.. Spray even these closed up flowers? This is the first sighting so far.

I think one of my male plants is a trans. He's wearing yellow wigs on the top of his nuts. I guess I'll call the other one big boy, because he's got a nut sack(s) to die for.

And as soon as he shoots his load on the ladies, off just high enough to trip over. Don't want to upset that root system from unda next to hers.

I pinched a round of nuts off the top and looked to see where they were at. They're not ready to cough to the right yet. What's going to be funny is to see if the pollen travels far enough to ruin someone's crop of females.

What I didn't do this year was to pinch them off. The female is growing taller than the males now. The other females are dwarfs. Cherry tomatoes are coming back.

Just fyi my esteemed friend, always when dealing with fems, end of week 2 until week 5 I do daily inspections to ensure there is no chronic masturbation plants. You know, the ones that really try to go f themselves…

Looks to me that stem split that you didn’t notice right away is the culprit here. I’m 90% sure of it. Keep those seeds for a rainy day. Since you know what most likely caused that to happen, you can always do a a big run of the seeds you get. Cull through them and keep the fems just like sexing a regular run. Only difference is you are looking for herms instead of males. Subsequent runs will breed that tendency back out pretty well by the time you are pulling f2s if you choose to go that route.
