Most of the Rainbow trout that are stocked in waters across the world came from two different places the Kern and McCloud rivers both of which are in California.It’s a cool pic! It looks like a really cool spot! Magical : )
I have heard of kern river valley! We will absolutely make it out that way in another year or two. We are beyond blessed to be like an hour and a half away for Lassen volcanic national park! We can get a good “adventure” out of the day without really torturing the kids too badly!

here she is today. day 34 from seed. you can't tell from the pics, but some of her leaves are nearly as big as dinner plates. she is now drinking 1gal per day. she may not seem to be much to y'all, but to me shes extraordinary. i've seen some crazy shit in this profession, but never anything quite like her and believe me, that's a lot coming from me..

The one thing I HATE about having pets is their short life spans. We lost Ginger (orange and white) a few months ago and now Trudy has lost bladder control at night and we're having to wash sheets and blankets almost every day. I carry her to the kitchen every morning for breakfast which I just did. She can still get around without issue but that's just become our thing every morning and as I bend down to pick her up off the bed she puts her paws on my shoulder.
We've set up a box with a pillow and plastic under that for her to sleep in but she loves crashing on us and being under the covers.
She's about 15 now and we'll keep her as long as we can. She doesn't seem to have any pain(s) and again gets around just fine hopping up on the bathroom counter and in the window but we know she's coming to her end
Better days. We've got video of her scooping hard food out of the box

She is the gentlest cat I've ever known. Not the smartest, she's our special kitty but we call her our love kitty.

I didn’t know that. I’ve gone out a couple of times and stocked the lake for the fishing derby with trout that is tagged from the hatchery up here. They get dumped in the main body of the lake and a lot of them migrate to the river.

not offended, i think the pics and process of coming up with them are pretty ef'n cool. i'm brand new to it so it's still a novelty for me. the shiny will wear off b4 long and i'll prolly get bored and move on. and yes, if and until then i will do me, as i always do brother. you do the same, there's no reason we can't all play in the same cat box (pun intended) and get along. a painter is only as good as his brushes -peace-

I did not know that! I feel ashamed! Hahaha one of my grandpas was a “scientist” for the Simpson paper company here in cali. He worked at a bio assay and studied the impact of the plant’s byproduct on the salmon population in the sac river.
Thanks for sharing this man! I would have never known. We have some “high lakes” up in the hills around us that fish and game stock!

We’re fighting the sick animal shit here at the house. Lost one of your GS’s this summer (very tragic and fucked up for the whole family) and now our “grandma” dog is sick and dying and doesnt want anything to do with us (its fucked up) she isn’t in pain and is still eating and drinking though. And then a few months ago my wife’s beloved life long cat partner of 15 years had what appeared to be a stroke! Hes all fucked up but still gets around (not in pain per the vet 400$bill). We’re not doing any more animals after all this! (We have 5 kittens we rescued and are keeping)She's been sleeping on my chest for the past hour under the covers

My “wife’s cat” she claimed likes me more and snuggles me every night on the couch! Hahaha! We’re such softies it’s not even funny! Hahaha I just cant let my daughter know how soft I am. (Ill just tell her mom said we have to keep them all)
