To clip or not to clip

I'm new , have 2 plants one i clipped so it's not so thick and the other i left , just wondering which one i did wrong lol , one other i clipped all the same age but it's looking like it's nearly ready , any help appreciated

Are they seeds, or cuttings? Seeds will be different, regardless of them being the same strain. If they are cuttings of the same plant, yeah, trimming them affected the results. Looks like they are both looking good to me

All from seeds , was just worried about airflow , but not sure if cutting the guts out of them is the smarter thing to do or if I really damages yield

FWIW, I trim alot of leaves off my plants to help with light penetration. Doesn't seem to hurt them

How much longer do you think the advanced one needs ?

At this point defoliation will only lessen the amount of trim work at harvest. Let them grow out. You're pretty much gonna yield what's there now.

Can't tell 100% by your pics. You need a jewelers loupe to take a look at the trichromes. But, it does look pretty close .
