Quick update: All plants made a full recovery after transplanting and look good. They move into the 5th week of veg with vigor. I just topped them down to the third node because they start training for a mainline moving forward in veg. Some pictures of the topped plants below.

Recap: In my last post i mistakenly mentioned that the plants were headed into the 5th week of veg, however it was actually the 4th week. 5th week of veg officially begins at midnight tonight. In my last update i topped the plants at the third node on the main stem to begin mainline training

Current update: After topping the plants, they bounced back pretty quickly and they grew two new main stems over the course of the week, now I'm waiting for those to grow at least 4 nodes each on their new stems, which is when ill top it again. In the meantime i continuously defoliate all growth tips that the new nodes produce, and In addition to that I'm applying some LST techniques in order to create the canopy shape well known to a mainline. Some pics below showing you the shape of the stem currently and how the mainline process is slowly coming together.

Positive Vibes Ya'll, Here is a Middle of Week 5 Veg Update: Pictures below. 🥦

Update: 3 out of 4 plants thave been topped twice going to let them grow vigorously for a while, maybe until the end of next week and then top them for the 3rd and final time. They look healthy, and their stems continue to grow stronger. In the meantime they continue to be tied down and trained. 1 of the plants (Northern lights) suffered 1 broken stem 🥴, and will not be joining the rest in the race for 8 colas, instead she'll hopefully end up with 4 as I'm training the surviving offshoot to be the new main stem. Some pictures of the plants mid week 5 veg below.

Quick update: All plants have been topped for the final time and continue to veg, and branches continue to train. The plan is to veg for potentially another 1-3 weeks and let all the plants recover and then switch over to 12/12 for flower. Accidentally snapped one of the branches on a plant, so im attempting to clone it in a solo cup, cause why not. Some pics below of the plants, and some algae covered pots! Dont worry the algae does no harm. 😉

Quick update:
Entering the 8th week of veg and most likely the final week of veg, pruned and defoliated one last time. Going to let the ladies recover and next Sunday flip to flower. 🤪 Most of the branches have been trained but if need be I'll move them accordingly as the growth continues.

8 wks of veg they should be monsters, I think you have watered a little to often right from the start, by drying them out to the point of wilt you can find the sweet spot to feed they like a wet to dry cycle, sometime when you transplant a small clone or seedling into a large pot and its kept too wet it smothers the seedling and as the coco drys from the top it draws from the plant, the response is transplant shock and nutrient lock out they just get set back, they can bounce back healthy but lazy.

You can minimize transplant shock to virtually none by having the same environment conditions and keep the media not wet, feed a very weak nut strength and build roots, when have the foundation down below they will explode, if you slow them down early by hampering the roots they just plod along like fat cats.

Cheers

Officially flipped to a flower schedule of 12/12 today! Total veg days: 51 days (7 weeks)

In my last post I mentioned id wait until Sunday to flip but the plants recovered more quickly than I thought and were looking ready to be flipped so I went ahead and prepped the plants/tent for a flip. They were fed their first flower based nutes today and now we continue to the second part of this journey. 🙂

Very nice work. Uniform canopy. Fits perfect in your 2x4. Here comes the stretch. Happy grows.

Day 2 since flipping to flower and the plants look like they're gearing up to stretch, added a vertical trellis net I had laying around to help optimize Budd sights, I haven't come across any information on a mainline and trellis combination when researching so I'm not sure if what I'm doing is correct or not but I'm closely watching how the plants react, call it an experiment. Feel free to share any ideas on trellis netting!

The uniformity here is exciting. PROPS

Quick update: 1 week into the flip today and the stretch looks like it has started, they're inching on upward day by day. Canopy is also starting to fill out. Will continue to feed them transition nutes until pistils emerge. 🌴

Day 7 of flower.
Update: So I began counting down days of flower the day i seen pistils emerge which was last week, currently on day 7 of flower and the plants are now receiving early bloom nutes and the canopy is starting to get some budd formation going. They'll receive early bloom nutes for another 8 days which is when mid bloom begins.

Day 8 of flower.
Quick update: pruned some growth tips and made some space for the main colas using a second trellis net.

Day 15 of flower
Starting to see a lot of frost development and budd development. The stretch is slowly starting to slow down as we continue onward in bloom. Battled nute burn for a little bit but it seems that we're back on track and the flowering is not bothered.
