Alright,
This grow will be a little weird as I’m documenting basically just the flowering of two bag seed plants in one tent and in the other tent a whole grow cycle from seed with multiple strains from the same breeder.

For my flowering tent I have a mars hydro 2x4 tent @ 6’ tall. I am currently running 2 sayhon SH1000 leds in this tent with an ac infinity cloud line T4 and 4” carbon filter from G hydro.
One of the two bag seed plants I know for a fact is God Bud. I started with 4 GB seeds but selected the 1 I liked the most. The other bag seed is either Pineapple Express or Girl Scout Cookies, I messed up when I was breaking up buds of two different strains at the same and out popped a seed 🤷‍♂️.

The other 2x4 @ 6’ tall tent is a Castle Greens brand. The canvas on this tent isn’t as good of quality as the mars hydro tent, but I absolutely love the structure of this tent. I have multiple shelving in this tent that I put to good use. I am running a 4” inline fan with a fan speed controller to a 4” G hydro carbon filter. I am running a total of (3) 70 watt lm301b @ 3500k bars.

The breeder I got my seeds from is New420GuySeeds. The seeds I’m running in this tent are (1) reg Grandad’s Blue Cheese (GDP x Blue Tahoe), (1) reg New Grape 48 F4 (Original Grape 48 x Purple Kush), (1) fem Gelato, (1) fem Black Domina, and (3) reg autoflower GDP Blast (GPD x Blueberry). I have the autoflowers in 3 gal rain science pots on the bottom shelf and the photo periods in solo cups. These seeds were sprouted by the paper towel and ziploc baggie method. 100% germination.

On to the medium:
The 2 flowering strains are in a 60/40 blend of coco coir/perlite and then about 30% worm castings added to the whole coco/perlite blend. They were then top dressed with earth dust dry amendments along with about 1 1/2 tsp of gypsum a couple days before switching the light schedule to 12/12.
For the photo period plants I used Nectar For The Gods #4 soil and added roughly 30% more perlite, 20% more coco coir. I also added gypsum at a rate of 1 1/2 tsp per 3 gal container b/c I read a lot online about how NFTG #4 likes to clump up and cake when watered. I also added 1/2 cup of Earth Dust’s Base amendments per 3 gal container, 1/4 cup of Tomato Secret (Dr JimZ) Amendments per 3 gal container, 1/8 cup of Earth Dust’s Boost per 3 gal container, and 1 1/2 tsp of epsom salt per 3 gal container.
I literally blended and planted the seedlings. My theory is that the seedlings will feed on the nutes already in the NFTG #4 soil and just as the plants start to get bigger, the fresh added amendments will start to become active and “hot” if you will.

Forgot to mention I had 3 plants in the flowering tent until the one in the 5 gal rain science pot (far right) started showing balls.

February 2nd:
It’s now the 11th day of flower for the flower tent.
On the 8th day of flower I started incorporating “Signal” from TPS Nutrients and a low ratio of Bloom Kaboom from Dr. JimZ around 10ml/gal (reg ratio @ 30ml/gal) into my microbial/cal-mag mix that I use 2-3x a week.

The weekly microbe/cal-mag mix is “chicken soup for the soil” from Dr. JimZ at a rate of 30ml/gal, & “ OAC” (2.0ml/gal) from TPS nutes. This mix keeps the microbial life fed, and provides cal-mag if the plant needs it.

“Signal” is the sauce that really brings out the terpene and trichrome production. What’s so nice is you only need a very, very small amount that slowly increments up as the weeks go by. I’m hoping that by slowly adding Bloom Kaboom with Signal it will help bring flowering into overdrive.

This is by far becoming way easier than growing with dwc. I haven’t used a ppm meter at all this entire grow. The only meter I have used was a couple days ago on Jan 31st when I calibrated a new ph pen. I was simply using the GH ph dropper kit before then. This will be my least expensive grow as well.

Feb 2nd (cont.):
The single God Bud clone I took survived and started showing roots. Now time to acclimate her and introduce nutes. This is the reason why I started doing a double cup method so that I could make sure my cuttings were taking root. This is only the 2nd time that I’ve tried cloning.
I already threw away one clone cut once I found out the “mother” plant was growing ball sacs. The two larger clone cuts from the GSC/PE plant probably won’t make it b/c the mother’s stems were striped purple throughout veg. Most likely a genetic trait than a cal-mag deficiency b/c it stayed no matter what I did to fix it. God Bud was fed the same everything and actually had nutrient burn compared to the other plant.
Bottom line: take cuttings from HEALTHY mother plants.

Seedlings:
Day 20 from placed into paper towels and day 17 from placed into cups. You can see the twisted blades of grass/hay or whatever it is growing in the autoflower pots. That’s why I bought the ph pen.

Transplant day for seedlings to 3 gal fabric dirt pots. I did not have the entire organic blend that I wanted so I went with what I had at this point of the grow and slowly bought other minerals and amendments to top dress or add into my water when I’m watering. As you will tell I struggled because of massive shipping delays but 🤷‍♂️. These two big bag seed derived plants that were in flower suffered the most. My biggest issue was CalMag deficiency (waiting on oyster shell flour). But the god bud actually turned out pretty amazing. Not huge but super frosty and the terpenes are some of the strongest fruit smelling bud I’ve smelled from a plant still growing. It wreaks in that good way.

Cool mutant leaf I found in the veg tent. I cannot entirely remember which plant it’s from but I think it was the grandad’s blue cheese

CalMag deficiencies starting to be pretty bad. But at the same time I’m like “meh, fuck it let it ride”.
I also got my 3rd light and installed it 🤙🤘🔥 . So I pretty much knew from here it was gonna be a whole lot worse. Shipping was a nightmare. Still is actually.
I also put the two bigger GDP blast autos in the flowering tent to speed up the the whole process regardless of the yield I will lose from them not being in a 24hr light schedule. I basically had to make room in the veg tent
